Do not panic!
Halifax have not taken one single case to a hearing to defend their charges. James is mistaken by thinking he read this somewhere.

Just off the phone to the call centre to chase up bank statments that have gone missing in the post twice (yeah right).
The ca advised that if the statements are being ordered in order to claim bank charges, I could write a letter to customer care dept and they would solve the matter asap.
If anyone is interested the address to write to is:

wonder if this is another delaying tactic or maybe a department dedicated to the bank charges?Coming soon............

I contacted Halifax and they sent me six years of bank statements and also returned my £10 postal order as 'a sign of good will'!!!
I wrote to them asking for £4223.20 including interest but they did not reply.
I wrote to them again following the advice given on this excellent site and the immediately wrote back to say it has been passed to their customer complaints department. They told me i should receive a reply around 5th March, in 4 weeks time.
Are they stalling on me?
Is there anything else i can do?
Thanks guys.0 -
