halifax bank charges (merged)

Have sent letter to the Hallifax asking for my money back,
three weeks ago I had a letter back saying a customer relations manager will investigate and I would recive a reply no later than 4 weeks.
This morning have recived a letter saying sorry that I have not had a full response to my concerns
Should I just send the third letter to them
as they seem to be giving me the run around.0 -
Don't let the bank dictate the pace to you.
You need to stick to the timeframe that you state in your letters.
Go on to the next stage if the 7/14 day time period that you set is up.0 -
thank you for your advice0

sent off the letter yesterday with the court ref numbers
paid the court £120
now waiting for £3896 back from them

from my personal experince with the halifax and from what i have read of others I would actually give them a little bit of leighway with the timescales as they seem to make an offer on the day you are due to file a court claim, thus if you have been a bit too fast on filng a claim like i was, your claim would have been setlled and the money in your account rather than drawing it out trhough court with the possibility of loosing at the end0 -
hey guys, once you have accpeted a offer from the hailfax and you have signed and sent the documents back to them, how fast does the money hit you account ???0

You can't claim for interest for going overdrawn. If you use the Interest Calculator it will calculate any interest you have paid due to the bank's charges making you overdrawn.
The bank will not include this interest in any offer they make, this will only be applicable at the court stage.0 -
Halifax refused to pay me anything, so I paid the £120 for the court
just read a post to say the halifax actually went to court
do they actually do this????
just worried now as they wont be sending a 2 bob lawyer, and I wont be able to afford to pay their costs0 -

Could you post a link to the post you read? I have never heard of them defending their case in a hearing.
In the small claims track, you will not have to pay the banks costs. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
