Hi,
That's fine. Your branch will forward them on to the relevant department.0 -

You can add in charges at the MoneyClaim step.0 -
As quoted by bluestu:
bless em they're getting so overworked they cant keep a clear head!
Too right! We sent our letter (rec. deliv.) asking for charges back on Mon 29th Jan. This morning we have received the standard reply dated 2nd Feb stating " Thank you for your letter which was received at this office on 12th February 2007".0 -
I have written to ask for over £1000 worth of charges from the Halifax and they have responded saying that the charges are legal and they are not going to repay any!!
What do I do now? I did write directly to my branch in Wales, should I now write elsewhere?
Thanks0 -
Standard reply, go ahead with your next letter and send it to the address they have replied to you from.0

thanks - got a bit panicky. Should have referred back to the proceedure, which I have done now.
I suppose I was expecting them to pay up, as they must of wasted so much time negotiating these charge refunds!0 -
hi everyone
long time no speak, i sent off my letter requesting charges on the 25th january by recorded delivery including a letter telling them we had moved since closing our account and the new address was enclosed along with proof that we had moved (namely a copy of the front sheet of my tenancy agreement which stated old and new address), i was asking for 3928.23 including interest, on thursday we had a reply back sayin they received my letter on the 30th which is crap cos i tracked it with royal mail, and needed to speak to me, so i called yesterday (friday), and spoke to a girl who said that they were having a problem finding my account as it was closed and wasnt getting any luck when using my address, told her wed moved, gave her the information id enclosed in the letter, and then she said they were having problems reading the charges id enclosed and they were illegible. Id used the charges calculator and printed them off, so i said id printed them off so they shouldnt be illegible, so she put me on hold, then came back and said it was their scanners fault and not ours, and they would be in touch no later than the 23rd February. I dont know what to do about this, should i reprint the charges and send them again, or do you think this is stalling tactics, should i ring them back and say no they must get back in touch no later than the 8th feb, which is 14 days from when i sent the letter?any advice would be greatly appreciated.love deb0 -
Hi Guys
at the 3rd step, letter advising court action if no reply in 7 days, do most people use Moneyclaim or their local court. Can anyone advise me as to which is best, please? TIA:happylove "SEE THE RAINBOW NOT THE RAIN.":happylove0
