I phoned up and was told that the weather has to be below zero for 7 consequetive days, if it goes one degree above then they start the count again!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::smileyheaMagenta0

The Department for Work and Pensions has been notified that there have been 4 periods of very cold weather in the DD8 postcode area between 1 November 2012 and the current date 15 March 2013.0 -
The 4th payment arrived in my account today...much faster than any other payment. I think it has only taken 4 or 5 days!0

Only had one CWP this year, and it's been so much colder than previous years! Recent heating bill is almost double what it was this time last year! :eek:

Only needs one day in a 7 day day period to be 1 degree above freezing and you don't get it..We have had 2 here in Sheffield,which were for January,tbh it feels colder these last few weeks and we haven't got another one...:(0

The trouble is it maybe just above freezing then the winds blow making it feel much colder, but still above freezing. The wind chill factur does not count. :-(0

What happens if it's below 0 degrees for seven days near the beginning of April? Or even... six days at the end of March and the 1st of April... to be extreme?
I think the date restriction should be lifted. Cold weather is cold weather, no matter what time of year it occurs.0 -

I was thinking that, as the cold weather is forecast to continue until easter. Looks like i could just miss out on another (vital) cold weather payment?
It may be worth phoning to see if they are extending the dates, in the light of the extreme weather?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
