  • I went through an appeal for Income Support some years back. When I won I wrote to the DWP about getting back payments of the CWP, they agreed and paid out £175 to me. It was really quite simple!
  • Thanks guys! ... I had to phone up today anyway, and by some freak of nature I remembered to ask about possible backdated cold weather payments ... the guy I spoke to said yes, any cold weather payments should have been paid along with my back paid ESA-IR, but it doesn't say on my notes that it has been paid, so he's getting someone to check into it.

There's only been 1 trigger anywhere in Britain so far this winter, that was at Braemar weather station in Aberdeenshire, with a total of 1,100 people entitled to a CWP.

Last winter (2012/13) there were 10 payments made in total in the area covered by Braemar, it just shows how mild this winter has been.

It is very mild at the moment! And getting lighter in the Eve's! But our weather changes so quickly that it could be freezing next week!!
