- a child who is disabled
- Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
- a child under five living with you

There will be a lot of people waiting to find out if the Gov will be flexible about the dates for cold weather payments this year as the cold spell is lasting unusually long. I live in Devon and even we have had another payment triggered although we've not had any snow. There doesn't appear to be any information about it.
Has anyone contacted their MP as they may have access to information that us mere mortals don't!0 -

If you qualify for payment and live in this postcode area you are due to receive 4 Cold Weather Payment (s).
Payments are not made immediately. You should receive the payment to your account within 14 working days of the very cold weather incident being identified.
If you have any other questions about Cold Weather Payments, including delays in receipt of payments, contact your pension centre or Jobcentre Plus.0 -

Not surprisingly, i didn't have another cwp triggered on thursday, despite the below freezing temperatures, which are still set to continue. I will have to wait until the site is updated on tuesday.
I haven't decided as yet, if i'll contact my mp over this issue, but they are well aware of the issues in this area. Although i have a 'rebel' mp, i believe they back the government on their benefits policy. Probably a waste of time? Still, it's got to be worth the effort of an email, if nothing else?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
