I cant work out if I would be entitled to cold weather payments. I am in receipt of ESA ( in the assessment period)and the lower rate of DLA.
I received a xmas bonus and I'm assuming that this is because I am in reciept of DLA.
Do you only get the cold weather payment if you are on the higher rate of DLA?0 -
Norwich has had it's 2nd trigger;) but I don't understand why it takes so long ! I've been checking the postcode checker and my bank every day and I no that I'm not the only one to do this daily, the whole system needs a re-vamp,yes the money helps when we have this weather but by the time we get these payments it's a bit too late an I'm sure that all these people (m.p's) sitting in their cosy office ,driving their cars with heated seats know that people rely on this money so why not speed it all up just a tad ???:mad:0

Have just noticed that we have had the first trigger for East London and 2nd trigger for parts of Essex including the Chelmsford area.
My mum had a trigger nearly 2 weeks ago and she has had no money. Can anyone else say how long payment is taking this year? It seems to be slower than previous years as most people I know are yet to receive even the letter even though theyre postcodes triggered well over a week ago.
The site says you should receive payment within 14 days.
Not sure how it is done, but with the amount of postcodes eligible at the same time I would maybe give them a little longer. She will get the payment.

Just to let people know They do a scan over the weekend to work out who should get a payment then payments are made.
Last year i got all my payments on a Tuesday and the year before it was on a Wednesday so this year maybe they will be on a Wednesday.
my area was triggered last Tuesday so i would have though payment will be made this week but as a guide they seen to pay them out on the same day each year as i say.0 -
