Yes you can.
- Connect your device to your computer.
- Put the device in Mount mode.
- A new drive should appear on your computer in My Computer. Open this drive.
- A list of folders etc. should appear.
- Create a folder called "notifications".
- Transfer your MP3 into this.
- Disconnect you phone from your computer.
- Wait for the "Preparing SD Card" message to disappear.
- Open Messages
- Press Menu, go to Settings
- Press "Notification sound".
- Scroll until your MP3 is found and select that.0 -
Another good app for showing off the capabilities of your phone is 'instant heart rate' ( shows on app store as red heart shape with green line going through) . Its also suprisingly accurate, just make sure you have a good light source before putting your finger on the lens. It measures your heart rate by using the camera lens with your finger tip on it.
Also another good one for showing off a different abillity of the phone is steamy window. you wipe the steam off your screen and it dribbles down the phone, but the best part is you then blow into the bottom of your phone and it steams all the screen up again.
Maybe im just a little childish but i thought these were very good.
Also you can get a recorder instrument app where you hold the phone like you are blowing into a recorder and the press the buttons on the screen to play different notes.
I remember first seeing an android phone over a year ago when my daughter upgraded at t.mobile and was very impressed, im so pleased i discovered android or i would have still been using the other types.0 -
Update Google Maps to the latest version (5.1) for good (great in all honesty) free sat nav. Does use a bit of data, but the new vector maps are much less intensive, and it caches the whole route + a little extra when it's created.0

Thank you for this! I got a HTC Wildfire a few days ago and love it! I searched on the Android Market on the phone for Tetris, but the original didn't come up - just found it straight away on the webpage!
On the phone version I searched for PacMan, Space Invaders and Astroids, but none of the original versions showed up!
Can anyone recommend a good Sat Nav app, please?
Thanks to the OP and everyone for this thread!
Just tried to download Tetris and it says it is not compatable for my phone!
Best bet is to use Google Maps.0 -

Don't think I'll be installing that until they remove it's need to access my text messages.0
