i use catch that bus, and train times uk i download them free off !!!!!!, and they are very good and useful. However the train times uk app, is not worth £5. The said file sharing site has many apk files, including myplayer before the update to get rid of iplayer!. Personally i think there should be a moneysaving expert app. Some good free apps are launcher pro, qwype, imo for instant messaing msn. fb etc, movies for all your film timings and whatsapp

I have an ipod touch and a Samsung Galaxy Europa, my ipods only a 1gen so I bought the Europa thinking my ipod would die soon... quite right, it died yesterday which I'm kinda miffed about but oh well.
Anyway when I first got my Europa, I had issues with it taking money off me when it couldn't connect to WiFi - I downloaded APNdroid which stops 3G and all that jazz, and voila, no more money taken off me. Which is good :D
    I also reccomend:
    - Jewels Great for passing time :)
    - Color Flashlight Much better than any ipod torch apps!
    - Vignette Demo - Good camera app, TONS of effects, and its free!
  • Cant fault most of the advice on here guys, fair play, had my Desire for a while and my only tip is don't install the task killer and if you've already got it then uninstall it. You don't need it. Here's a link to a cracking site for the HTC Desire, or any other android phone, they can answer all your Q's and there's more tips and info on there than you'll have time to deal with. Good luck going nuts.

I would recommend Android zen, at the end of the day I use mine for text and phone first, anything else is a bonus and the Android does so much I don't have the vocab, sorry.

  • I have seen a few comments about not to bother with task killer but i find it useful , if my phone seems slow i use it and often have something running in the background i had forgot about.
One other app i find useful which i haven't seemed mentioned is SMS Filter which you can use to block certain numbers from texting or calling you, texts go into a separate password protected folder and you can also set up auto responses.

I've been looking for some more and found a great list here:-

    Clicky

I've started using the Shelves app after reading the article:-

Shelves - scan bar codes on my DVD collection and it adds them. Then search them by title, actor, etc. Great for people with a big collection who want to see what they've got. Also has a loaned out function to track which ones you have lent other people.

I've also tried Swiftkey trial and I'm very impressed so may have to purchase it.
