Offline Browser (free or £2.10 for ad-free Pro vesion).

Lets you read your favorite websites when out of signal range (i.e. on the tube, in poor signal areas).

I download a few sites at work on wifi & can then browse them on my way home on London Underground & on the mainline train that has iffy signal strength.

I had a few problems with the way this forum is set up but the developer added some features to the latest version which sorted this.
So for example to download this Mobile phones section of the forum I would use these settings :

Link : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14 Instead of typing this in you can browse to it in the Standard Android browser, press Menu, More, Share page & select Offline Browser
Max depth level for links - 1
Max links per page - 50
Max links per site - 500
Max images per site - 100
Only links containing this text : showthread.php

Takes about 2 minutes to download this part of the forum, doesn't seem to take up much space on the SD card.

Mint is an account aggregator rather than a finance tracker. Like Egg money manager on a normal browser

I have a HTC Desire and I'm loving it :rotfl:

The only issue I have is that I can't have my own ringtone (MP3) for my text messages :(

Am I missing something? Do I need an app for this? Can someone please advise me on what I can do

    Thank you in advance :T

I'd like to find a good app for creating and viewing word documents, I know there's that Documents to Go but at nearly a tenner it's a bit pricey. Love the idea of using my phone with a bluetooth keyboard for uni work (as in, like an even smaller netbook). Hope OpenOffice bring out something (I think they have one that lets you view documents, but not create/edit them?).

I'd love to see if anybody can help with this too...

Really great thread, thanks OP and to everyone who is recommending these great apps. I'm hoping to get a smartphone at some point in the near future, and you guys have settled it - it'll def be android.
    :) Be nice - it's free! :)

 If you 'like' or find anyone's post useful, please take a moment to click "thanks"

like i said before you can get documents to go for free online, but if you insist on paying look, at think office full version, or look in appbrain for document writing programmes there are quite a few, they work out cheaper i think than paying 10 quid for doc to go
