Just to let those of you interested know...... Consultant31 has answered my PM about the minimum target weights. She is of the opinion like many of us that the charts are set too low (due to being originally from years ago and just reprinted and that medical thinking has moved on)and that the BMI is a better reflection of what we should be aiming at. Which seems a heck of a lot more realistic:D:D

    Anyway.....
    meals for day one (tomorrow)
    B. porridge + milk HEA HEB
    L. couscous/tuna/salad or jacket potato maybe if cold day
    D. chick pea/veg/quorn curry with rice

    snacks fruit/yogurt
    syns french fries 5

plus max 10 syns left over for desperate moments:D
  • evening all !!

hope all is well , hi to all the new peeps and well done to all the losers xxx

    Oh poo bum,

    Literally?

    Sorry, couldn't resist! :p

I put on 1.5lbs, which isnt bad for saying its been over 2 weeks, and my last WI was in the morning when I lost 4.5 so I reckon 1.5lbs of that was morning/evening difference, so all in all I think i've STS which is bloomin good for the amount I've eaten :D

i'm going all green this week I think. Potato & veg pies, SW chips egg and mushy peas, prob some SW chips and a JP thrown in for good measure too. I've had a bit of superfree food overload, so am going t'other way this week.

I have bought some [STRIKE]ceiling tiles[/STRIKE] I mean scan bran, because (look away now, waay TMI alert) I don't think my poos have been very solid, so I'm hoping to have a good clear through :D I do know how orrible scan bran are: I also remember they are a lot less orrible in cake, so thought maybe if I zap some with some milk and honey It'd be a bit more like porridge and a bit less like cardboard. Will let you know on that one! ;)

Oh, and its force 9 in my house too. An overload of good old baked beans caused by skintness is the cause here. You know its bad when you get up in the morning, go to the loo, and come back to the room and the fragrance is unbearable :o

Our Group is open both before and after Christmas. No time off unless you book holiday.

    Denise

Thanks - oops means I will miss the Christmas one if the meal is that night. I'm down as a shift worker so as long as I let the consultant know I can miss the odd week if working, but I tend to just swap and go to another local meeting so I don't miss my weigh in. Good it's open - might help me stick to plan - I'm going to allow some meals out/treats but still want to try and lose over the festive spell:)

    WI tonight and I lost 3.5 lbs:j

I'm a happy bunny but am conviced I'll gain next week. Last time I had a holiday I lost then put on a pound the following week despite sticking to the plan. I'm sure it catches up in the end. Also tonight I went to an evening group 'cos I'm busy tomorrow. So to lose in the evening is good news all round.

It was a taster night and someone made the Mexican soup (which is apparently a website recipe). It was yummy but could have had a bit more chilli for me to give it a real kick. Now that it's getting colder I'm going to make some for lunches.

Keep at it everyone, onwards and downwards!!
  • Morning peoples!
Official WI today, and I have lost 5.5lb! :j
So put 4.5lb back on but after being so ill I struggled to stick to plan fully until yesterday, and I think 5.5lb is a fabby 1st weeks loss!

Well done to all the other loosers! x

    Morning all!

Mrs M and other Notts area people......I'm also not too far from Nottingham, and also not far from good old Skeg Vegas (as we call it round here!)! I LOVE the idea of a meet up once Mrs M is back next year! I used to be a member of an online wieghtloss club that had really good forums and we still have regular meet ups now, I have lovely friends all over the country from it!

WI last night.....lost 3lbs!!!!! I was in shock! Thought I might get 2 but 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although last week was *week and I'd had my tea before which I don't normally do. Only 4 or 5 pounds to go to target, could easily do it for xmas if I get my butt into gear!!!

    EE day today:

    Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), Banana
Lunch - pasta, tomato and veg sauce (lots of superfrees), tinned mackeral, yogurt, mixed berries
Tea - pork stir fry with noodles (2 syns for sauce I think but I need to double check my ingredients!)
Snacks - fruit, hifi bar (6)

Morning all well done losers some fantastic losses :T

I went to weigh in last night and I stayed the same which I was annoyed about as I expected a loss. Still never mind, I plan to up the exercise this week so hope for a loss next week.
