Is your sone looking to lose weight too, or is he coming along for support to you (or the other way round;))
Good luck to you both on SW anyway.
My son has gained quite a bit of weight during the past year, so I thought it would be a good way to get him to make some better choices, and to feel like he wasn't alone doing something about it. My weight has always fluctuated, and I'm back to a heavy weight again now, having lost a couple of stone last year. I want to find some way of taking it off permanently, and fitting it into a 'real life', rather than having meals/food compromised constantly by rules and calorie counting.
Well, today has been fine so far. I'm concerned about my amount of superfree foods some days, but I'm sure my consultant will flag it up from my diaries if it is a problem.
Plan today is EE:
B - strawberries & porridge [HEB] muller lite (1 syn)
L - plum, banana, mixed salad, wafer thin ham, l/f vinaigrette (0.5 syn), l/f coleslaw (2 syns)
D - Honey glazed pork (1 syn), with stirfry veg & rice
The pork chop is a bit mahoosive, but it was in a value pack from Sainsburys, and a bargain price, so I won't complain. The recipe I found online, and it's smelling divine right now. I'm cooking 3 of them, so there's going to be plenty left over, so may have some cut up in a salad tomorrow.
I am looking through some of the recipes, and making a list of the spices & ingredients I'm needing to stock up on. If food tastes wonderful, no matter how low the syns, you feel like you've had a treat in my book.
Well done to all the great losses coming in, it certainly looks like it's working well for many, which gives me the confidence to keep plugging on with the plan.
Mrs M thank you for posting your recipes, they're giving me lots of inspiration, which is great for a SW newbie. BTW, I'm not too far from Nottingham, so that SW meet up will definitely be a possibility for me!One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Thanks gunsandbanjos! Will def join in here:D
Was really hoping to attend a class as I think that the terror of weekly weigh ins might be the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow! If anyone knows if it's possible I would love to know for sure.......
Im not sure of the answer either....Consultant31 would def know though.
As G&B said - stick around on here and we're all able to help you with the plan
As for the weekly weigh in....you could always go to Boots on a set day each week and use the machine there and get a little print out?
thats almost as good as facing the scales of doom at class if they wont let you join0 -

Guns n dizzy -have to say that the veggie cheese is bl**dy addictive :j - I have had it 3 days in a row ..only *issue* is that It makes me smell like rotting wet veg.... hubby keeps asking me when its going to stop? well its been 30 weeks so far and so I don't like his chances of a "cease fire" any time soon :rotfl:
