Hello Peeps
Well weve had some good losses amongst us again :j:j well done girls :T:T x x
Just back from another torture session at physio, I swear there is a nurse there who grows horns and cloven hoofs when she sees me...she tries her best to make me throw up every session (says its good for progress apparently) Ahhh but I get my monies worth cos shes having to work a lot harder to make me throw up just lately :j still walk like and old drunk but at least I dont throw up like one LMAO :rotfl::rotfl:
Well Ive just started making a lovely buternut squash soup....well It was until the Dyno Rod monster in me took over & and I started chucking random tins of green lentils, haricot, cannelini, baked beans, tinned toms .......now its not sure what it is.....but Im sure it will taste okooohh may as well chuck some peppers in while im at it
Mr Dizzy is not going to be told its a relative of Dyno Rod soup tho as Im not too sure he will be too happy. Im going to tell him its a butternut Squash casserole (give him some dumplings so he will eat it too and if he makes the same noises as me then he cant complain)

Hello everyone
Can I ask a question please? I have looked on the SW website and it says that if your BMI is under 23 you can't do online SW. Didn't know what mine was but just checked and it's 22.7
Does that mean that SW is not available to me in class either does anyone know? I want to lose just a few pounds (5?) and am wanting to then use the diet to maintain as I'm struggling to stick to sensible, healthy eating on my own
Any suggestions gratefully received!0 -

No problem... I meant to add this earlier in the week for taplady.. here you go :-
Luxury cauliflower cheese
serves 4
1.5 syns plus 1 heA per serving
cheese sauce :-- 375ml semi skimmed (1.5 heA)
- 5tsp cornflour (5)-let down with a little of the milk
- 1tsp English mustard - (0.5) or use powder for free
- 105g cathederal city lighter - grated (2.5 heA)
- seasoning
- warm the milk gently in a small pan
- add in the cornflour and stir continuously until thickened -don't have the heat too high as it may go gloopy
- stir in the mustard, grated cheese and stir to melt
- season well
- carrots -cut in big chunks
- leeks -cut in big chunks
- cauli -broke into florets
- broccoli -broke into florets
- Gently steam the veggies
- leave to cool -it gives the veg time to give off any excess water so you can drain it off
- tip the veg into an ovenproof dish, season well
- pour over the sauce and bake in a moderate oven until golden
Dizzy -glad you are back from physio in 1 piece -just...

Don't know about the classes, but you are more than welcome to join us on here. I'm sure we can help out with any of your queries.
I struggle to eat properly when left to my own devices as well, even when i wasn't overweight i ate badly! I only want to lose about a stone so i'm not massively overweight, but i really like the structure SW gives me. I've had a fair few wobbles since i started but i keep getting back on as i actually like it:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
That sounds yummy Mrs M, might even use the sauce to make macaroni cheese:p I have been craving it. Made a pseudo version the other day with laughing cow extra light and some low fat cheddar and it was ok.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Mrs M - I love Nottingham - lived there for a while 20 years ago, looks like we'll have to a SW meet up there next NovMama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Thanks gunsandbanjos! Will def join in here:D
Was really hoping to attend a class as I think that the terror of weekly weigh ins might be the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow! If anyone knows if it's possible I would love to know for sure.......0 -

You're welcome. Try sending consultant31 a message, she should be able to tell you about the classes. I know she posts now and then but not sure she reads the whole thread so she may miss your post. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
