morning
well I was so shocked last night i almost fell off the scales
i lost 4lbs!!!!!
which is great but i dont understand how as i had eaten out 3 times this week and one of the other nights i got a chicken kebab takeaway!?!?!?!?!?
i did try to follow sw while eating out but even still i really hadnt expected that.
mmm maybe i should eat out every night now!
Maybe you don't eat enough normally, just a thought cos I used to think I was doing well by not eating too much but our consultant explained how you need to eat sufficient and when I started to eat more that's when I got better results.

H007 - fantastic result 4lbs is amazing.:T:T
Well done to all the other losers too.
I had a bad day yesterday just from the point that I didn't eat enough, I only had a 0% sweetened yoghurt for breakfast then a little cheese triangle and ham sandwich for lunch then nothing until 8pm when I had chilli and rice a mandarin and then 2 treat size chocolates. So a severe lack of superfrees and lack of quantity. I don't know how it happened, just busy I guess but I can't let it continue as I've been happy with my losses the past couple of weeks I don't want it to stall just because I've not eaten enough
I need to go out in a minute so will post my meal plan a bit later."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

Just read the two posts above yours....!
Trust the plan - it's not a diet, it's healthy eating. Almost everyone new to it has exactly the same fears that you have - and the vast majority of them come back a couple of weeks later wondering what they were worried about
There's a massive amount of advice on here - ask questions - no such thing as a silly one!
Edited to add - EE snacks - fruit (all free), raw veggies + a little humous (you can count some of this as a HEX - check the books, pasta mugshots, cous cous...the list is quite long.0 -

Oh, and when Mrs M opens her class I think it should be near where Dizzy lives so we can all go there and meet Dizzy!
Oooops, :embarasse I`ve only just started reading this thread so didn`t realise it had already been commented on. I really must find the other threads and read them, who knows what else I might find that will helpAt least now I know to adjust the recipes in future so I use less liquid
That`s what I love about this place, the amount of advice, hints and tips, that I wouldn`t get from going it alone. Thanks guys, you are all brilliant and VERY well done to all those who lost weight yesterday on their WI`s, some of the weight losses are excellent and if I can lose half as much I will be over the moon
EE again for me and as I have a lot to do this morning and have only just grabbed breakfast, it`s been 2 slices of WW brown danish toasted (HE) with a banana mashed on top, followed by an orange.
Lunch will be a packet pasta mix followed by more fruit.
Tea will be the beef stuff from yesterday that took forever to cook with new potatoes, peas and carrots.0 -
Spicy Butternut Squash Soup recipe - Free on Green/EE - Serves 8!
Olive oil Frylight (or Olive oil if you wish to use syns or your HEB)
sprig of rosemary
2 bay leaves
3 garlic cloves crushed
1/2 medium chilli
1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed
2 carrots, chopped
1 large potato, peeled and cubed
2 celery sticks
1 medium onion, chopped
pinch cumin seeds
1/2 tsp chilli powder
pinch smoked paprika
2 pints veg/chicken stock
Method- Heat oil in a large saucepan and add garlic, chilli, paprika, bay, rosemary and cumin seeds and heat for 30seconds (do not colour, you only want to release the flavours).
- Add all the remaining ingredients apart from the stock.
- Saute the vegetables for 2 minutes until they are fully coated in the spices.
- Add the stock, turn down the heat and allow the soup to simmer for about 45 mins.
- Allow the soup to cool and then blend with a hand whisk, until free of lumps. If the soup is too thick add a little more stock until you have the desired consistancy.
- Reheat when ready to serve and eat!!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!
