Morning. Have been going to SW for 6 weeks and have managed to get my half stone lost sticker. But past couple of weeks, due to various personal issues, haven't made WI and have lost track a bit.

Any suggestions for getting motivated again much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks Mrs M, Vixie Pixie, Firobust, skinny and dalia. feel a bit brighter this morning.

this week i am going back to basics. even my husband has said i lost more when i ate more, but i cant get my head around that. i have cut every thing back including sins, H extras, im not doing plan practically as im back to the bad old days of starving andf then probably binging when i can eat, anyway as of friday i am going to follow the plan and if on thursday no weight loss i will change something until i do. ie eat more ss. I read this forum everyday although sometimes it is in work and i cant post. so i do catch up everyday for my daily laugh, inspiration, menu.
I work full time and have a 9yr old and 6 yr old (slightly off subject what is DD DS abreviated for regards children on this site?)

    Gooooood morning Slimming worldies :D

Whoop whoop 2.5lb off for me this week :j so I got my 6st shiney ... 6st 1.5lb gone so far
Im chuffed to little mintballs as its * week and I have been a little more relaxed with what I eat... Not eating extra stuff -but If I haven't always got my heBs used I haven't just eaten something to use them (I haven't missed many though -its just on green days I don't need 2Bs -although I often turn it into cheese ;)), I have listened to my body and If I wasn't hungry I didn't eat and if I was particularly hungry I simply ate more. I know that sounds obvious but its a revelation for me

Well then -hubby has gone to the golf "breakfast club" so after I have done this I will get my porridge and then whip up some more meal plans -now I have a printer Im going to get some written up and printed off and stuck in a folder so I can play "lucky dip" :p

Yellowbird -One line in your last post hits home with me and my previous weight loss escapades "starving and then binging" -That used to describe me perfectly.. I would lunge from going without to turning into a 1 woman waste disposal unit :o, I have finally cracked that by eating at regular intervals, and I find that as my blood sugars are kept level I don't crave junk or get "starvin marvin".
Good luck with the going back to basics - Im sure you will things kick started again in no time ;)

Anyhoo my day today is going to be a Red one and is looking like this:-
    • apple
    • 28g oats (B) + ryvita seedy
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • banana
    • Orange
    • Rosemary scented lamb (3.5)
    • 198g potatoes (B) steamed
    • carrots
    • broccoli
    • cabbage
    • brussels
    • activia intensely (2.5)
    • salmon fillet
    • veggies
    • raspberries,strawberries,blueberries,cherries
    • activia intensely (2.5)
    • 250ml semi (A)
So that will be 2A+Bs and 8.5syns accounted for .. Im not sure I will need the salmon n veggies as lunch won't be until about 2:30pm -but I pencilled it in just in case;) and no doubt there will be more fruit inbetween :p

I have some bread underway for hubby and then Im doing extra potatoes/brussels with lunch so I can make the bubble n squeak cakes for tomorrow (saves faffing)

Right I think thats me for now -I will no doubt be back later... have a great day everyone and keep at it!!!
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5
  • Well done Mrs M!!! Another great loss!!! :T :T :T
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
  • Well done everyone on your losses!

I've been relatively good this weekend - on Thursday I made a massive quorn lasagne that I've had with salad for tea for the last 3 nights. Went to see the fireworks on fri with friends and avoided any pub based sins cos I was driving. Last night was another firework party and I had some banana cake and some port there so I'll go and check sins shortly.

Was it Dalia that recommended Little Tokyo? I'm in Leeds also and I love the food there - nom!
  • Today's food is going to look a bit like this -

L - Roast Pork, roast pots (done in frylight) Stuffing 2.5syns, carrots, cauli & broccoli, Gravy 2 syns

D - ?? not sure yet gonna see how my i feel - Lunch is bound to stuff me to the brim! I might have a quorn sausage and cheese omelette :) followed by fruit :)

    Its AMAZING isn't it?
  • I just remembered I have a top tip for those of us who cannot be bothered to weigh our healthy eatras...

Buy some disposable plastic cups, weigh out your 28g of cereal or whatever, pour it into a plastic cup then either draw a line round the cup at the level of the cereal or cut the top off the cup. The next time you want cereal, you just need to fill your cup to the line and you know you have the right weight of cereal. I've made little scoops like this for all three cereals I have and keep them in the relevant cereal boxes.

It terms of the sushi-I knew it was about 1.5syns but I wondered if that was for the rolls you get that might include a little bit of mayo in or something? I can't imagine where the syns come from if it is pure fish, rice and veg? If anyone has the answer I am genuinely interested. I tend to count it as free as it's so good for you and will more than often contain some superspeed fish.

Alice-Let me know how the tea goes. Remember to time it so you are near a loo after 6-8hrs!! It's pretty errr explosive the first few times you have it but now I drink it regularly it's calmed down a bit now, still has same effects but but more gentle!!

I always find this thread very motivational - so your in the right place!:) The other thing that helps me get back on track is searching for new receipes either on-line, in back issues of the SW magazine or the SW cookbooks. Trying out new receipes stops me getting bored with the Plan and also trying new stuff seems to help kickstart my body into losing weight again,.:D
