Hopefully you've already found the answer for yourself. I'm a great believer in listening to what your body is trying to tell you, and look at how you've been fuelling/treating it. You also have an added medical condition there too, which has to be borne in mind, but I agree with you to revert back to the 4 red days per week, and see if that has a positive effect.

Hope you're feeling much better soon though, it's not a great way to feel. Does having a nap help you? That's been a way I've tried to deal with it when I've had a few bad episodes (usually when I've eaten less, and exercised more), and would eat a couple of handfuls of ham or chicken out of the fridge, then lie down for half an hour.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • Hi

Im new to Slimming World, i joined on 4.11.10 and hoping to lose around two stone.

Are there any other "grab and go" HE's that anyone has for me to check out? I dont have any time to measure in the day. I did WW for a while and lost 1 and half stone but found it a bit restrictive whereas on this I feel that I can eat so much more!

If anyone has any tips they will be greatly appriciated as I really want this to work.

Thanks and nice to meet you all.x

Thank you very much hun :)

During the week i feel ok but i sometimes need to nap on a saturday afternoon! I usually do an hour of Tae Bo (Tae Kwon Do & boxing mixed with aerobic type movements!) in the morning which makes me feel great but its quite hard going! I always eat before exercising (usually cereal) and then i eat about an hour and a half after (usually a 2 egg omelette with either bacon or ham with tomatoes and or mushrooms) this isn't intentional but it doesn't stop me feeling tired at around 4pm! lol. I also drink at least 1.5 litres of water during exercise to keep hydrated :)

Luckily i still have my food diary from when i first started so i'm gonna go through that i think :):)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    Good afternoon all

Hello to the newbies and whoop whoop to those with losses :j-ohh and hugs to those feeling under thre weather..

The rain has finally stopped biggrin.gif -for now at least -twas tipping it down when we nipped out this morning..manky ole weather sigh.gif

Anyhoo -today is going to be an EE one... and looks like this:-
    • 8 plums
    • small bowl cornedbeef hash (2)
    • 2 clementines
    • 1 apple
    • activia intensely (2.5)
    • sticky ginger chicken (3)
    • 1/4 tsp oil (0.5) -to stir-fry:-
    • onions
    • mushrooms
    • peppers
    • broccoli
    • sugar snaps
    • beansprouts
    • peas
    • sweetcorn
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1 fibre plus bar (B)
so that will be 1A+B and 8syns -
We nipped out early -so I didn't get breaky -just wasn't hungry, then at lunch time I wasn't THAT bothered either but I made myself have a ladle of hash anyhoo....

So then I have my meal plan for next week and the main meals will be:-
    1. rosemary scented lamb (3.5)
    2. bubble n squeak cakes with luxury vegetable cheese (7.5 + A)
    3. creole pork (2.5)
    4. dead good carbonara (4)
    5. piquant chicken with thyme (3)
    6. Yangchow fried rice (4)
I have left the 7th one empty incase we get a sudden craving for something tongue.gif... -knowing me it will be my dead simple cheesy veg pasta nomnomnom biggrin.gif
The bubble n squeak meal looks quite heavy on syns -but it has butter in drool.gif and so I decided "why spoil the ship for a halfpence of tar" and I never use all my syns anyway -so I may as well enjoy my meals drool.gif

I got my top up fruit today :-
    • nanas
    • 2 punnets plums
    • 2kg apples
    • and a whole box of clementines
So that *should* last me until about Tuesday redface.gif -god I am a greedy moo with the fruit!!, I also picked up 8 salmon fillets as it seems I have run out slap.gif ...

On the subject of skin etc - I have always been lucky with my skin (sometimes a little dry but thats about it) but I think its because I have always eaten so much fruit n veg and drunk gallons of water ;) ... I actually eat less fruit now than I did before -I still eat plenty ..but I was just a glutton :o -in fact even now -fruit is the one thing I sometimes struggle to control...
I have definitely noticed a change in my bottom half -I got some new trousers and they were designed for "curvy thighs" oh my lord I put them on and if anyone can remember when Russ Abbott used to do that pilot sketch where he had big sticky out jhodpur things ? well they looked like that :rotfl:
Hubby has also noticed a difference in my bottom half too -apparently it neve shuts up (I have tried to make him feel better by telling of your escapades Dizzy -but he just shakes his head whilst muttering "poor Mr Dizzy" ) :rotfl: He reckons we should all be made to live together under a dome :p

Anyway I will get off for now and cross.gif that the scale fairies are kind to me again tomorrow.. 1lb off and I will get my 6st shiney :j
Have a lovely afternoon all...and keep up the great work..

Hello Skinnyminnie: if you actually JOINED (ie went to a class) then all the "grab and go" Healthy Extras are listed on page 21 (a) and page 25 (b), and any new ones that get added you can find on the online pages - go thru the logging in procedure, then click onto Eat and Slim, and one of the dropdowns is "latest healthy extras". Hope this helps.

:D I think Dizzy pulled me up on it!

Do any of you eat sushi? I realised it would be a good way to get some superspeeds in and went out for lunch. In the book it's about 2 syns I think, I don't really know how to syns in at all really. I didn't have anything with mayo in and it was served with soya sauce and salad.

If anyone lives near Leeds or in Leeds I highly recommend Little Toyko for low syn meals, it is AMAZING. Lots of fresh made sushi, all the green tea you can drink, lovely meats, noodles and rice dishes. Mmmmm
  • Hello all

really need support as i am on the verge of giving up. I am really trying but it is not showing at the scales. have been watching you all with envy as i dont seem to be losing anymore with the plan. I know i have lost weight but that was in the 1st 6 months. I weigh the same as i did 18 months ago despite still going to group every week. i have lost and gained the same 10lb for the whole of this time. i made the mistake of weighing myself before wi on thursday to find i had gained 2 lb despite sticking 100% to the plan. so then i missed class and went ballistic eating everything i shouldnt have. friday back on plan as i dont want to put all the weigh back on. so i am going to do a daily plan please feel free to comment. thanks. you are all an inspiration to me as i have followed you all for months

    B 1 banana, 1 boiled egg
D/T 6 ww danish (2xHEB) with ham, prawns salad boiled egg, chicken slices
    S 2 Tangerines
Sins plan to have vodka and coke tonight at 2.5 sins for 25ml shots with coke filled to 1 pint to stop me having too many.
175 wmilk (HEA) for tea and coffee
