  • On my way to bed but wanted to give a BIG welcome to all the newbies and a quick question if I may,

Ay-up Dizzy lass, have you been? :rotfl::rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • When I weighed 11 stone i was a size 14 then at 13 stone I was a 16 and now at 15 stone I am a size 18. However as I have only just crept up to a size 18 I think i will only need to get down to 14 stone to be a comfortable 16.

the other good thing for us losers and hope-to-be-losers is that sizes are gradually expanding. I'm sure when I weighed 10 st before I wasnt wearing size 10 trousers - that was when I was 20 and weighed 8 st! But boy does it make you feel good to get into a smaller size :D - charity shops are good for interim shopping I think, pay £3 and get something you can wear for a couple of months until you drop another size, it's like having a constantly changing wardrobe and such fun :T
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Ive just got a load of Bum comments back off her....and she told me she always knew I was full of sh*t :D (she has the same sense of humour as me eh)

I can once again thoroughly recommend the cleansing properties of Dyno Rod.....tho 3 meals a day plus supper for 3 days ......then adding sweetcorn to the mix (as per consultants suggestion) is only to be used in dire emergencies:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi all

Strange thing today I've not felt hungry as in not fancied much, have still eaten but not enjoyed my food, been very busy and was working over lunch, went for a pedicure from work so not back until 7pm and was in half a mind to just have some wheatabix but did cook a quick tea.

I've not had many syns today, or my milk allowance or HEB in full but not hungry now, strange (hope I'm not coming down with a bug, feel ok just tired)

B - Rice pud and blueberries

    Lunch - very late rice/smoked tofu/veggies

Dinner - gnocchi with pasta sauce (3) and large salad

    Snack - few grapes

Anyone know how many syns are in half a pack of gnocchi? the vac packed ones not fresh.

  • I love this thread - it is sooooooooo motivating to read through - thanks guys:T

Quick question - I posted the other day about skinny cow ice lollies which i put the pkt info through the syn calculator and they came out at 2 1/2 syns each - someone posted and said the syn hotline had said they were 3 1/2 - so do they have a different way of working things out? How can I know whats right?

I have my pork marinating in the fridge for the slow cooked pork as a friday night treat and i have tried options coconut drink tonight - oh yum yum.

Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Hugs to msgnomey. Today has been one hell of a day for me too! First a friend stood up to find she couldn't actually bear weight on one leg because her knee had swollen up like a baloon, so had fun & games being human crutches to help her to my car, then tried to drive home in lucnh break for crutches, as couldn't go to a&e because of exam in the afternoon.... decided we couldn't get home in time so had to turn around and go back! Drove her the 100 yards to the practical exam (loading horses onto waggons - great, not what you need when you can't weight bear!), anyway she couldn't do it but I could, so left her with an ice pack, meanwhile comforting another friend who was in tears because she shut down in the exam, and by the time it came to home time/ a&e time the first friend had come to the attention of staff and students, who carried her out to my car, where we drove home to finally get some crutches before she went to a&e... meanwhile I rushed to pick her dog up from doggy day care before it shut, and do the horses she normally does for someone else, then picked up her stuff and rushed another friend to take stuff to a table-top sale.... didn't sell ANYTHING there! ... back to hers only to panic cos computer doesn't work, she's still in a&e, I ned to print off an assignment for a 9am tomorrow deadline, finally get that done, dropped off at another friend's for the morning, she's still in a&e some 4 hours later, and I need to be back at hers for 8am to pick her up for her to come and show me what to do with her horse in the morning, cos I can't just walk in there as its privately owned and the owner will wonder what the hell I'm doing!

    *and breathe*

... I had planned on a sainsburys healthy salad lunch then homemade dinner. I actually had a garage sandwich & crisps, drink and chocolate x 2! :o
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels

Morning all....glad things are finally moving dizzy!!!

I was good yesterday, OH's mum did curry for tea. I had a small piece of naan bread and about a teaspoon of half fat elmlea 'cream' which I need to check syns for plus she would have used oil to cook the curry so I'm pretty sure that little lot will take care of my full 15 syns....in one meal:eek::eek:

Tonight I'm helping at the bonfire we run....I'm the treasurer for the local agricultural Society so I get the cash counting honours!! There will be loads of yummy things floating around so I'll have to be on my best behaviour! Mum will be with me though and she's always really good so I'll follow her lead!! Tea at her house afterwards which I'm looking forward to :D

I'm going green again today, I seem to lose better with red and green days than EE.

    Brekkie1 - Banana
Brekkie2 - Porridge (HEA&B) with apple/pear/cinnamon/ginger mix, this is an experiment as I had a manky apple and pear to use up so I've chopped them up and mixed with the spices and I'll stir it through my porridge!
Lunch - pasta salad (with toms, cucumber, red onion and 2 hard boiled eggs), yogurt with mixed berries.
Tea - Jacket spud, beef bourginon and veg.
SNacks - will be fruit and probably another yogurt before the bonfire to help stop me being tempted by the sausage rolls!!

So thats 2As+1B and 9syns accounted for.....

Im going to get some more meal plans sorted today so I have a good selection that I can pick from each week and I need to get the rest of the recipe list typed up on the PC...
oooh nearly forgot ..here is the sticky ginger pork recipe I did the other day (was another one that hubby wants again ;)) :-
    sticky ginger pork marinade

    serves 4 @ 3 syns per serving
    1. 4tbs Hoisin sauce 6
    2. 2tbs soy
    3. 2tbs clear honey 5
    4. 1tsp ground ginger
    5. 1tsp 5 spice powder
    6. zest 1 orange
    • Simply mix all the ingredients together and throw in sliced raw pork/chicken or whatever you fancy and leave to marinade until you are ready to cook
I stuck mine in first thing in the morning and left it all day. I only did half the mix for the 2 of us and to be honest it could probably have done enough meat for 3-4... so if you want to save syns ;)

Right I will get off for now -have a great day everyone...
