don't get downhearted Rum,every girl needs a fat friend, she wants it to be you and not HER thats the fat one! :D

    HAPPY BOXING DAY!!!!

Thanks Susan, good answer. In this case tho it was just one of a half-dozen parcels that had been in the "christmas present" sack for a week or so; I did intend to keep them and pass them on at work, but my innate pigginess won out :(. Your last para says it all! :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • blackberry-rum, susan has got a very good point there - I look forward to you revelling in it on here when you've lost X amount and the silly !!!!!! hasn't ;) With friends like those, who needs enemies?

Well since you ask about the Personification Of Adonis Himself ;) we (the family) got invited over to theirs (the even bigger family) on Christmas day morning. Had a lovely time, spent a good hour or two just chatting to Him, but nothing else - and I realised then that I don't actually want anything else :o I'm quite happy having him in the almost-but-not-quite-big-brother category, where its brilliant seeing him, marvelling at how wonderful he is, but its just that. :)

Bit of an anticlimax to the Christmas story, sorry about that :o Also found out my injury didn't bring out his nurturing side, more like his squeamishness at every mention of blood, injuections, breaks and dislocation! :D

MrsMcawber, do you really eat just roast chicken with pickles??? Sometimes I am a bit thick and can't work out your food diaries :o And I still don't know what nobbies are :rotfl:

Sorry -nobbies are what we call brussel sprouts -nobbies or nobby greens,,,, I don't know where it came from but my family have always known them as that :p, and ooooh yes I will eat roast chicken with just tickles... I have a very sad addiction to vinegar :D... I will quite happily sit with just a bowl of tickled cabbage... hubby reckons its a wonder I don't suffer from ulcers etc :rotfl:, but I just can't resist vinegar covered things...

    Morning all.
But there's always the odd one, do others get this, who have ways of putting you down about your weight loss. The favourite is: "Don't lose any more, your face will look gaunt". Sorry, but there's a good way to go before I look gaunt! Hey ho it's Christmas, I will try to be charitable.

    Happy boxing day to all!

    .

Tell me about it, I'm married to one!! Always making some comment on how thin/bony I am but I refuse to get fat just to make him feel better :rotfl:

Well done MrsM thats a great loss & chrimbo prezzie :T [-3lbs is a great prezzie too :D].
I WI this morning and scales fluctuated between STS & losing 1lb so am going with STS. Its next week I'm concerned about as expecting the gain then :o.

Hope everyones chrimbo is going better than mine, had a lovely lunch on the day but spent the afternoon/evening suffering bloated/trapped wind. Today was fine til lunch again, had buffet style munchies and suffering again. Its not as if I stuffed myself like I know I can [used too], just think my eyes are bigger than my belly these days [literally :rotfl:]. Its spoiling my enjoyment of the season though, that and the crap on tv :p.
Fessing up to eating too many chocs though :o am fancying fruit & yog at the moment but still feel too bloated to chance eating it. Oh well, happy hols all x x x
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi all, hope everyone has had a good christmas, mines has been ok, the children have loved it, I was a bit sad, it's my first christmas since my Nanny died in September, I'm staying with my Mum, she lived here with my Nan so it's her house now so it was a little sad being here without her.
I am convinced she was standing by my bed last night and touched the top of my head, as if she was saying ''i'm here'' :o

I have been here since last Saturday, and once again fell ill so I just have not followed the plan AT ALL!!!!!!! I have not weighed in since Last Thursday so dread to think what the damage is!

I'm going home Tuesday and getting a Tesco delivery Wednesday so will be back on plan 100% from then, although I'm going to try and be good from Tommorrow too :D

Ahhhh see I thought you were going to say they were parsnips :D As for the tickled everything, now I love a good picked egg, but my face involuntarily screwed up at the thought of all those pickles in one go! :D

Better mention my eating today. In passing. Reckon I've had more syns than yesterday  And I'm looking forward to cheese and biscuits before bedtime (helloooo interesting dreams :rotfl:) but I must get that in before tomorrow, for tomorrow is back on plan day.

I'm just not entirely sure how to deal with all the leftovers.

Hi everyone, I felt proud of myself Christmas day, just had a bit of everything, including Christmas pud and cream. But that was with friends. Yesterday I was on my own at home, and had more cake than was good for me, in every way.

However, this is a new beginning. (For me, every day is a new beginning. I can't undo yesterday's binge if it happened, so just walk away.) I have resolved this time around to eat ENOUGH. I have always been seduced by eating as little as possible, which is the path straight to binging. At my age, you'd think I'd have learned that by now.

So, breakfast, snacks, proper meals, etc, etc. Which leads to my problem ... I went to get the old book out, to check HEAs and Bs, and I CAN'T FIND IT, ANYWHERE. So I shall have to go to a class and re-register. But I shall get details of the new plan, which sounds great. I'm not sure whether I shall be able to get to class though, as the one I used to go to is on a day I can't now manage. We'll see.

Thank you for all the hints and tips on here, I made a batch of Dyno Rod soup last night, it tastes great, the best soup I have made it a long time, whatever the other effects!!
  • hi all

who is doing which plan and what do they think provides the best loses and what volume of food, do people veat freely on the plan.

I give up doing slimming world due to the fact that I was not losing some of it down to me.

I have rejoined WW and have losed about 10/12 lb in weight but it is difficult to get to class, where as SW is easier and had an agreement that I could go every other week.

On doing the new WW propoints plan I weighed everything and counted everything used all my points and activity points and went over but have lost slowly, the first few weeks were hell as I ended up eating at least 50% than before, and still eat less, So I am considering rejoining SW so that I can go to class regulary.

In my class in Cornwall, extra easy is not favored by the old members, but there is a newish consultant wo loves EE and lost her weight on it and new members love it.

Are there any other SW members in Cornwall
