  • Blackberry-rum, thanks for the wheelchair advice, must confess reading that forum made me a bit _pale_ :o ...Just taken some rescue remedy and a remedy for fear, so hope they will help. I'm also car sick now I have to travel on the back seat sideways, which won't improve matters...I'm not too sure, but chances of a romantic getway out of the house to the pub have been somewhat thwarted, since the reason I know him is through our parents and his are coming over too, so it'll be a families visit *sigh*. Still, he might still see me all pathetic and realise his undying love for me and sweep me off to be looked after by him for ever after I suppose. ;)

Skint Slimmer, shut your eyes and have a nap on the back seat, you won't feel sick then. Rescue Remedy is fab isn't it? I adore the little pastilles and there's no sugar in them :D I found the forum quite helpful for some things tho obviously some people (different breaks) take a lot longer than others to heal. Your news might have been "worst case" too, it may not take too long. I was hopping and jumping about by a few months later. PS families are great matchmakers even when you don't want them to be - perhaps they'll all go off and leave the 2 of you alone :p

oooh and hubby got me lots of smellies for my birthday
Would that be in repayment for the "lots of smellies" you've sent his way following ingestion of dynorod soup? :rotfl:

    Hello all

Well I had expected to have several meals out but due to the now all postponed so maybe I will lose this week - going to the weigh in a friend goes to tomorrow morning as its easier getting about in daylight hours with this snow - been snowed in a lot last few days and got 2 snow days off work which were great. Trying to avoid chocolate but not totally managing!
that's the only good thing about this weather, all the eating-outs have been abandoned :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Gained 4lbs, lmao! Not a single day on plan this last week, drinking a lot and generally doing Christmas properly :D

Obviously didn't want or expect a 4lb gain but I'm not too fussed - it'll be gone by the end of January and I'm still 49lbs lighter than 22 weeks ago so a lot to be proud of. Whatever goes on this week comes off next month and then it's back to business.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Well the xmas countdown has well and truly begun for me ! today is my last day at work :j:j:j until 4 Jan :j:j:j:D:D:D

    so excited and relieved !

Bit scared foodwise ! Having a pizza lunch today  but I rarely eat pizza and never have *proper* pizza so will be a treat :D Just hope the thin and crispy bases get ordered rather than deep pan with cheese crust or something

I was thinking of taking in some soup to have before we get the pizzas so I wouldn't be so hungry and eat too many slices :rotfl: but its a one off so will just enjoy it.

I weighed in this week and didn't meet my xmas challenge :( I wanted to get back into my target range which meant losing at least 2.5 pounds but instead I put on 1.5 !! :T:T Nevermind. A couple of weeks back, it was all going pear shaped and I was really tempted to call it a day and go back in January but I didn't, I stuck with it and have been to class each week so I am sure this has reflected in my weight - if i hadn't been going to the class then I am sure I would be more than the 4 odd pounds outside of my target range - probably more like 7 pounds and then add xmas and before i know it, I am 10 pounds plus outside target range . Must try to keep focussed.

Mr T should be coming today - that means my synfree treats should be delivered (meringue nests - 2.5syns) served with either greek 0% yogurt (free) or the Onken Strawberry fatfree biopot yogurt (free) to be served with frozen fruit (also free :A).

I did order some chocolate yule logs for my OH but they were out of stock - so I bought one from m&$ - we tried some yesterday and its lovely. I don't mind enjoying a few treats over xmas but I don't want to go overboard so think I will try to forget it exists and hope my OH eats it all up and soon !!

If the weather picks up then hopefully I can get out and walk a bit while I am off. :j

I also bought lots of oranges and pink grapefruits so I don't have any excuse.

I have booked next week's weigh in as holiday as I am meeting a friend but I am hoping to get along to group still as if i go again in 2 weeks then I just might find myself giving myself too much leeway and munching too many treats !

One thing I am doing though is eating up all the bad stuff from my freezer so that January can begin with a clean slate and a freezer full of sw friendly food :j

    merry christmas all !

Morning all, should have been wi tonight but been cancelled as the room is needed for something else. Only had a pound to go to get my club 10 award and been good all week and so should have got it this week. Don't think I will be getting it next week as whilst I don't intend to go mad over Xmas I am not going to stick rigidly to plan.

    Food today is as follows:-
    B - activa snackpot & apple
    S - 2 clementines
L - jacket with cheese and salad and velvet crunch
    S - alpen light x2 & clementine
D - not sure yet maybe omlette and veg

    Good morning all :D

Well, we have had a bit more snow over night, but nothing drastic...good job too as there is about 18" out there at the moment...not that we are planning on going out if we can help it.. the paths are clear and the bird table/bath re-stocked so thats us done clap.gif

Soooooo then, Im planning another red day today which should look like this:-
    • 28g oats (B)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • banana
    • salmon fillet
    • tickled cabbage
    • beetroot
    • tomato
    • turkey steak
    • cabbage
    • carrots
    • 198g potato (B)
    • creamy mushroom sauce (4):-
    • mushrooms
    • onions
    • garlic
    • single cream
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 250ml semi (6)
    • activia (2.5)
    • fruit allowance:-
    • 12 clementines
    • 1 apple
so that should be 2A+Bs and 12.5syns accounted for!!!
I know its a bit odd having turkey before xmas day, but its strange as I really don't rate roast turkey, but like turkey steaks confused.gif -so I just decided that is what we are having for dinner. Hubby will have the last of the mechado beef stew with mash n peas for a quick lunch and then thats us sortedwink.gif.

oooohh and I have some bread underway, Im still not eating bread -but hubby loves home made and as I haven't made any for a while and have lots of bread flour and fresh yeast in I thought I would spoil him tongue.gif
Right I think thats about me for now...no doubt I will be back again later rambling as usual giggle.gif
Hope everyone is well -have a good day and "keep at it" clap.gif
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5
  • Annnnd another gain from me :D 1.5lb. Kinda expected it, the amount of junk food in our office is incredible! ;) I still don't plan on dieting though - back on the wagon on 3rd Jan (when I get back from relatives - i'm going to try to be good there but don't fancy my chances!).

Finished work for christmas yesterday and started the break in style this morning making choc truffles :D They're for a gift though, really!! :A :rotfl:

    Morning all,

I didn't get on yesterday. I spent the morning going nowhere, very slowly. I got stuck in a mahoosive amount of traffic, got 9 miles in 2hrs, ended up gridlocked in a nearby town, and decided we weren't going to get to my eldest sister's, turned around and came home. I spent the afternoon wrapping presents instead.

    Oh, and .....

_party__party_ :bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR YESTERDAY MRSM :bdaycake: _party__party_

So I am now completely ready for Christmas, so bring it on!! :santa2::xmastree::xmassign:
I went to Sainsburys at 6.30am this morning, and we now have a Norfolk Black free range turkey in the fridge (nicknamed Gladys). Stocked up on all the last minute goodies needed, and that's it for me, all preparation is done... thank the lord! Indulgence will be had, but it won't be over-indulgence.

I'm trying to keep everything measured up until tomorrow night, but I'm not going to stop myself from socialising, like when I go to see my friend later, and I'm taking some h/m mince pies with me. You can go too far at the not taking part. I think I'm most looking forward to having the turkey, which will all be free food anyway. I'm going to make another low fat/sugar trifle, but in individual glasses, so the portion control is there.

    Have a lovely Thursday everyone.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • Morning everyone,

It is very quite on here recently - i spose it is that time of year!

Put on 5lbs this week - can't remember if i had mentioned it!

I am not too fussed - my mum has told me if i loose 3 stone between 3rd Jan and my birthday she will take me shopping with £200 in her purse!!!

    Happy Birthday MrsM (for yesterday?)

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and will try and pop in inbetween the festivities!

Hello all, a fair few gains there, but I think you're all doing really well to keep going to classes, feels as if you are all still in control. As my previous (scouse) consultant said, enjoy Christmas, and maybe just eat half of the tin of Roses instead of a whole one ;):D :rotfl:

Think today should be ok for me. Cooked brekkie (1), couscous and soup for lunch (all free) and milk in my brews so far, so I'm feeling good, and if it ends up a fairly low syn day I'll even be feeling as if all the syns from yesterday's lunch are all accounted for  :D

Lunch: soup & cous cous & salad bits
    coffees (a) fibreplus (b)
    Dinner
cheese (a) ham (b) Jacket spud & salad.
    Melon.
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels

Glad I got to the daytime meeting as my evening one is off due to the snow)

Celebrating with a Chinese tonight - got that in Birmingham as too icy to get out after dark, and this place does a vegan soya low fat menu) So mock soya sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice for me tonight:)
