Anyway..... the breaking news issssssssssssscale.gif3lbs off for me this week woohoo.gif.... It has to be the first time in living memory that I haven't gained at least 1/2st over the festive period party0049.gif.... and I have to say hand on heart that I really haven't missed any of the obligatory festive "goodies" -although had I had any in the house I think it would have been a very different matter wink.gif

Well done that is a fab loss:T
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

  • Hello peoples!
    I am finally home! :j
Just had MrT deliver me lost of SW friendly foods and goodies so I am well prepared!
I had a sneek peek on the scales as it's been almost 2 weeks since I last WI and to my amazement I have only gained 2lb  not bad seeing as I have not stuck to plan! :o

Just watching polar express with the boys, will be back later xx
  • hello everyone! Right, I've used the GF grill again to make grilled bananas after lunch, luvverly, and that's me that doesn't like desserts!

WI for me tonight; last week was cancelled due to snow and my own scales gave me very very good news .... since then my own scales have given me very very depressing news (and I know I shouldn't go on 'em, and usually I don't, I was just trying to keep an eye on myself ... :p ) we shall see.

Oh, I was in Asda yesterday and they have muller lights at 10 for £3 which is very good, yes!?!?!?!?

(it's taking me ages to write and post this as I keep stopping to watch ET on tv ... it's not as if I haven't seen it before a hundred times :D )
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Right well I'm getting back on the wagon now, and I'm going to try and remember to check in here regularly and I think posting a food diary will probably help. I have 12.5 lbs to lose in hopefully 7 weeks. At the very least I need to lose 5.5 lbs and get into my healthy BMI.

Today I got back on the Wii fit for the first time in something like 667 days (ooops) but was pleased that it told me I'd lost 1st 10lb in that time. I'm just getting to the point where the diet isn't enough on it's own. I've been around the same weight now for 2 months, so need to kick it off again.

I'm a stickler for not eating breakfast, never have done and when I tried getting into it for a couple of weeks I put on both weeks so I gave up. I do EE days, but I do sometimes forget to eat my veg requirements (I also don't do fruit, so you can see why I need to be on SW!).

    So today I'm planning -

    Lunch
    Pasta
    Cheese (HEx A)
    2x Joes sausages (syn free)
    A little butter (2 syns)
    Mushrooms

    Dinner
    Gammon
    Jacket Potato
    Carrots
    Broccoli
    Mushrooms
    A little butter (2 syns)

    Snacks
    A double dip (3.5 syns)
    Weetabix Oaty Bar (HEx B)

So that's 7.5 syns for the day, and I've also had 30 mins on the wii fit.

Hi there, I am thinking about joining SW in January when the kids get back to school but I must admit I'm nervous. I've been overweight for years and now I think I must be the heaviest I've been. I'm a housewife and student and all the sitting studying has really piled on the weight too. I think my biggest fear is that the diet won't work. I've done WW a few times and the last couple of times I tried, my weight loss was pitiful so I got really despondent and gave up (plus the leader always looked at me like I had been cheating - I hadn't - which didn't help lol). Anyway, I really want to be healthy and fit and I can't put it off any longer, so I'm thinking about SW. I'm hoping it's not too complicated to follow.

    :)

Welcome! It's honestly very very easy to follow! I did WW a while back, but got fed up of having to count points and weigh everything. I can honestly say that I have never weighed any food on SW as there is so much that is "free" to eat as much as you like. I've also never been left hungry.

It's more of a healthy eating lifestyle change than a diet. So I highly recommend signing up :D

I want to join again but don't know wether it is worth joining on line? What do you lot do?

Personally I go to meetings. It gives me a weekly goal and to be honest the price isn't much different! If anything it's better value to go to meetings as you get access to all the online stuff included. Meetings you can pay £49.50 for 12 weeks (plus £10 one off sign up), online they are charging £59.95 for 3 months.

Like I said, I go to meetings. It means I can't really cheat the scales which is what I found myself doing when I did WW online haha.

Hi there, I recommend you read back [as much as you can] and check out our resident superstar MrsM, she has lost an amazing amount with no complaints of being hungry and her recipes have kept us all going the right way too :rotfl:. As my sig says I'm at target so if I can do it anyone can :p. This is by far the easiest eating plan [we do not do [STRIKE]diets[/STRIKE]] where nothing is banned, its just down to you what you eat and how much.
All I can say is try it and see for yourself, so welcome in and pull up a seat, sit back and watch the weight disappear.

That said, I feel mine coming back :o. I thought I could do 2 days off plan but I think it'll be the new year and back at work before I get back to it properly. My only saving grace is I have had my fruit & yog every day like a good girl :rotfl: [the bad girl has eaten chocolates galore and a whole bag of lime doritos with most of a jar of dip , not all in one go though]. I wish hubby would hide the sausage rolls as well :o. Am dreading WI but at the same time can't stop myself so only myself to blame. Oh well it is christmas :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks for that I don't like one of the leaders she was rude to me when I wasn't losing and I only had 10 weeks to go till my wedding. No one likes her including other leaders. Its just finding one that I can go to with out my DD as she is 2 years old and will not stay quite. DH works offshroe so can't go of an evening. I'll have a look later to see where I can go.
I really want to do it this time I jumped on scales this evening suprised they still work:rotfl:and I am at my heavest.

Personally I would recommend going to group [as opposed to online]as the support and motivation is a big help if you do find yourself slipping. This is my 2nd time around, the 1st time was with a group but this time I did it on my own and with the support of the fantastic people on this forum. I think you have to be really driven [as I was] to go it alone but being here is like going to group but without the commitment of going to group at a certain time once a week. We get/give support on a daily basis in here so its much easier to stick to plan. After all the only person you can hurt/cheat on is yourself :rotfl:.

Good luck whichever way you go.
