Evening everyone, hope you all had a lovely xmas

I'm back:hello:. I've been off the sw wagon for a few weeks, tbh i lost my motivation completely and i know its because i was getting bored eating the same things and i maybe enjoyed my xmas treats a little too much:o. Now my motivation is slowly coming back i want to get back on track. Got weighed this morning and i've gained 2lb which really suprised me, i thought it would have been a lot more. Only problem is i havent got a lot of fruit in at the moment and we have a HUGE stack of maltesers so i'm gonna need some willpower for a few days till i get out to do our shopping.
So my starting weight is now 11st 1lb and my target weight is 10st.
I just need to get on with planning some meals now.

Right just had a quick check and i've got sw food in for a few days phew.
So tomoro gonna have an EE

B - cereal (5syns got no bran flakes:( and half hea) and nana
L - lentil soup, 2 wholegrain crackerbread thingys (half heb) and satsuma
T - quorn chilli full of superfrees and rice (half heb)
Not sure on syns yet but as i've got a load of maltesers i think i'll divide a box into 5syn bags (only 9maltesers! but should be enough for my choc needs;))

Hi there, I am thinking about joining SW in January when the kids get back to school but I must admit I'm nervous. I've been overweight for years and now I think I must be the heaviest I've been. I'm a housewife and student and all the sitting studying has really piled on the weight too. I think my biggest fear is that the diet won't work. I've done WW a few times and the last couple of times I tried, my weight loss was pitiful so I got really despondent and gave up (plus the leader always looked at me like I had been cheating - I hadn't - which didn't help lol). Anyway, I really want to be healthy and fit and I can't put it off any longer, so I'm thinking about SW. I'm hoping it's not too complicated to follow.

    :)

I do it online as it's a bit tricky for me to get to group and stay as my 20 month old is as mad as a box of frogs! so wouldn't really be able to stay t group and concentrate.
I find I get enough support from here, the facebook group and minimins.com weightloss forum.
I have done pretty well on it, but over xmas I haven't stuck to plan, al in all I lost 12.5lb in 4 or 5 weeks, not bad coming from me who has never stck at anything for longer than a few hours! :rotfl:

Update for those who followed the love interest story:

I had visitors today, HIM (oh adonis one)'s brother and sis in law and their baby.

HIM is currently living in his brother & sis in law's spare flat, next door to them.

Sis in law has invited me over to stay with them for a week soon so that I can spend some quality time with the boys - "especially (HIM), he'd love to spend more time with you!"

    Ahem. :o

Back to SW. Can anyone find online or in a proper food directory the syns for an average portion of vegetable chow mein from a chinese take-away? Thank you :)

I have had so much chocolate for Christmas - I think I'll take a pile of it along to the lunch I'm going to and see if anyone wants any after lunch - share it out! Will keep some here and ration it but it's dangerous me having a whole big tin of different choc in the house:eek: least it is all strong dark choc so I can only eat a bit at a time.

Lunch is at a Chinese restaurant - they do lots of healthy options and beancurd dishes.

Good morning everyone. I am going to post my meal plans, based on memory (no books at the mo), and if you could let me know any mistakes, I'd be very grateful!

    Green Day

250mls 1% milk in hot drinks

b- couscous, 1% fat yoghurt, to use them up, so synned, 4 at a guess.

l- warmed up shepherds pie made with lean mince, tin toms, onion, carrot and swede mash, froz peas. I think the beef, left over from roast, is a HEA.

    t- D/R soup, ff yoghurt

snacks: apples, clems, cucumber, tomatoes, 28g cheddar (HEA?)

    bailey's Synned @ 5ish?

I still have loads of cake, crisps, sweets left from Christmas unfortunately, tho at the moment the fairies seem to have missed me out. I am rationing it and synning as required. I guess when they realise I am back in harness I shall have to dump it all.

Just one question: I have been reading past posts, and you keep mentioning a pork recipe of MrsM's. Could someone post it for me please as I can't find it? Thank you.
  • Morning all

I have done an at home WI and despite 2 weeks off plan, I have only put on 3lbs. I'm happy with that as I did 'eat, drink and be merry' over Xmas! I'm back on SW plan as from today. I am going out for a meal tomorrow night, but I was so fed up of eating crap I wanted to get going again. Also the meal tomorrow is Chinese so I'll pick sensibly.

I've eaten up, given away or disposed of all the non SW friendly stuff I had leftover. Just have some of my mum's HM xmas cake left, which I will freeze in small portions so hopefully I won't be tempted by it.

I've decided to try and bribe myself for first few months. I want a Pandora bracelet, which is £40. I could buy it now with my Xmas money, but have decided to treat myself IF I lose a stone by end of Feb AND exercise 3 times a week. Hopefully it will be a good incentive!

I'll post my meals later as I haven't decided quite what to have yet.

Hope you are all doing well
