Back to SW. Can anyone find online or in a proper food directory the syns for an average portion of vegetable chow mein from a chinese take-away? Thank you :)

Can't find vegetable chow mein, but -

Chicken Chow Mein, average portion, 380g serving
    EE - 7
    Red - 11½
    Green - 7

Beef Chow Mein, average portion, 450g serving
    EE - 8½

Hi ladies I'm back!! Not that I've been far....just had my head stuck in the fridge/chocolate box etc!!! HAd the best part of 2 weeks off plan but haven't been tooo bad but deffo eaten much more naughty stuff than normal! I have WI tonight, no doubt it'll be bad news but my wedding dress is due to arrive sometime in February so my aim is to be at target by then! I'll aim for the middle of feb and I'll let you know later how much I have to lose! I still have loads of choccys left but once I'm back on plan I can be pretty good and limit myself to having just one when I have enough syns left.

WoooHooo Hello Dizzy, glad to hear you're having a great time [except the seasickness but then who needs the sea when you have a pool :D] bet its been lovely & warm there. Has warmed up slightly today [didn't need my big coat on] although the fogs so thick I lost my dog when I took him for a walk :rotfl:.
Have fun & see you in the New Year:T

Good morning everyone. I am going to post my meal plans, based on memory (no books at the mo), and if you could let me know any mistakes, I'd be very grateful!

    Green Day

250mls 1% milk in hot drinks

b- couscous, 1% fat yoghurt, to use them up, so synned, 4 at a guess.

l- warmed up shepherds pie made with lean mince, tin toms, onion, carrot and swede mash, froz peas. I think the beef, left over from roast, is a HEA. Is this a typo? Did you mean HEb? Only beef isn't a HEa only cheese & milk are. Beef =HEb.

    t- D/R soup, ff yoghurt

snacks: apples, clems, cucumber, tomatoes, 28g cheddar (HEA?)

    bailey's Synned @ 5ish?

I still have loads of cake, crisps, sweets left from Christmas unfortunately, tho at the moment the fairies seem to have missed me out. I am rationing it and synning as required. I guess when they realise I am back in harness I shall have to dump it all.

Just one question: I have been reading past posts, and you keep mentioning a pork recipe of MrsM's. Could someone post it for me please as I can't find it? Thank you.

I don't have an up to date food directory so can't check syns for yogs & baileys but am sure some kind person will look them up for you :A oh and the mince should be extra lean for it to be free.

I have been a good girl so far today:
B - coffee [not so good :o was busy then had to go out]
L - weetabix milk [a] [this was about 3.30 in the afternoon :o]
Snack - pineapple, melon, pear, onken + meringue [2.5]
T - haven't decided yet - something comforting llike mash + beans with onions, toms, maybe an egg and some ham seeing as we have loads. Hubby was given a ham from work & it was humungus, he boned it [used to be a butcher] and cut it into 4 huge bits [freezer] so will be ham for weeks to come :rotfl:
Syns - 2.5 so far but will update later

Snacks - 3 x clementines, half a banana, tinned pineapple (HEB), LF creme fraiche (1,5syns)

*great mutterins about having mis placed hard copy food diaries*

Yesterday looked a bit like this:

    SW friend breakfast (1)

lunch was soup (free) & large ish brown roll with cheese & pickle (2 B and 1 A, plus 1 syn)

Vegetable chow mein - Thinking about it if I take out the 6 or so syns that the beef or chicken in chow mein would be, that makes it 2.5 syns which I'm sure it was more greasy than that would imply. On the basis that the book says fried vegetables from chinese are 6.5, I'm going with that, plus another 3.5 for 1/2 portion of friend beansprouts I had with it. Gosh it was scrummy, but I could make it nicer at home without all that fat ;)

    Custard cream - 3 syns.

Total on green of 14 syns, so not bad considering the chinese takeaway could have been so much worse :rotfl:

    Today:
slept in - no breakfast :o I am sleeping for England at the moment!

Lunch: WM Pasta, quark, saladey bits and a healthy (A) of cheese.
    Fibre plus (B)

Dinner: Jacket spudato with cheese and beans (healthy A and I'll call it a B too since I think the cheese was a bit more than 1 healthy extra's worth.)

Had a scoop of ben and jerry's (6.5) with a small slice of coffee cake (6?) which was totally delish :)

Did the equivalent of running the marathon with hopping around the local Aldi today :D Was exhausting! Got some say on food shopping which was very nice, and expect to see lots of vegetable soups in this household. Got some of those ritter squares of chocolate, which normally in my own home wouldn't last 5 minutes, but give her her due, mum is good at hiding those things and only letting me have one at a time, hence why this time they were a safe buy :p I do love my mummy and she does come in useful really :D

Am feeling very full of :D's today because I have just managed to hop onto the scales for the first time in a month :T It was a bit touch and go and I thought I might literally break them in the effort :rotfl: but it worked, and I did it twice to prove it wasn't a fluke. :p

Now bearing in mind that reasons for me to have put on include:
    10 days of Hospital food
    .. then a stay in a B&B for a few days
    Sympathy chocolate
Having gone from very active to almost totally inactive
    Christmas
Wearing a cast (which must way something)
Wearing a jumper (normally strip right off for those SW scales)
Having eaten a heavy meal before getting weighed
    and needing a wee :rotfl:

... well, I was a bit worried to say the least :o

And the result is... I most definately haven't put on, and without taking any of the above into consideration I am at least 3 lbs lighter than when I last got weighed a month ago :T This means that I have now definately lost more than a stone in total (more :D's!)

Its my parent's scales, so I hope they are reasonably accurate :o but its a huge relief to see I haven't gained, and have probably lost. We don't really celebrate New Years Eve and Christmas day proved that I'm not really very stable on crutches having had a drink, so I think that my path to slimmer times should be reasonably clear at the moment. :T :D
