  • Dancing sounds fab, also I have always found that plugging the healthy eating' approach, rather than 'dieting' has been a help with my own kids.

and i also find that if i want them to eat better i stop buying cr*p in,and cut up the pineapple/melon into 'chocolate size' portions so they reach for that instead of chocolate/crisps,i try to avoid saying what i am allowed to eat,i fear eating disorders for my kids and my banging on about 'bad' food isn't good, its hard isn't it being a parent? :o

    Good afternoon all

Well folks I have had my walk this morning 1hr30mins of trudging through the snow to the supermarket and back -we needed a new mouse -and of course I picked up a few bits whilst I was there .... although twas only :-
    • 4 packs of my activia intensely -on offer @ €1.49
    • a 1.2kg pack of minced steak -hubby fancies chili tonight so some will make that and the rest will split n freeze
    • a huge (600g) Argentinian rump steak -was whoopsed :p - I will probably cut it in half and then each piece will make us a stir-fry ;)
    • oohhh and some kassler(pork loin) -imagine a cross between really thick ham and smoked bacon... tis yummy and I got 5 thick steaks whoopsed to €1
Anyway I couldn't let bargains pass me by could I :o
Now I really really must stop it ....

Well Im going for another red day today and it should look like this:-
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1 banana
    • home made veg soup
    • 3 crisp breads (B)
    • sf jelly n berries (0.5)
    • 1/2 activia (1.25)
    • kassler
    • leeks
    • asparagus
    • peppers
    • sf jelly n berries (0.5)
    • 1/2 activia (1.25)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • fibre plus bar (B)
    • fruit allowance :-
    • 2 oranges
    • 1 apple
    • 3 plums
    • 3 apricots
Right -so that will be 2 A+Bs and 3.5syns accounted for.....

Im another one who went to my first diet club at about 13 (was my only other dalliance with SW strangely enough).. and I have spent the years since then on the dieting "not so merry" merry go round .... I think that if she is asking to go I would take her along - at least she will get much more help and sensible advice through going to group with mum than what she is likely to pick up at school , also it will be "your" one on one time too! would she try something like riding her bike or rollerblading with you when you run? or perhaps ice-skating ... or do you have a wii that you can play as a family... make it into a family event a couple of times a week. Or perhaps on a weekend have a wii night, and make nice SW friendly "fast food" or something so its a real treat...

Ok -so I will get off for now and make hubby an omelette for his lunch whilst y soup re-heats... have a lovely day everyone and keep up the great work!!

    Hi everyone

Just thought I'd pop in to say I hope you all had a very happy Christmas!!

I am getting back into SW with a vengeance in 2011 (might even join a group!) so expect to see my face around here once more (if that's ok!) asking silly questions and trying my hardest to stick with it

All the best - have a happy new year!

  • Afternoon all

I made it to the gym again today :j my legs did protest a little on the cross trainer but other than that it was ok. Sadly the gym is shut for the next 3 days :(. I'm off to shops shortly so think I'll look for an exercise DVD so I can keep up the momentum over the weekend!

I was meant to be going out for a meal with friends tonight but it's been cancelled as 2 of them are ill :( but this does mean that I won't be wasting syns on a chinese.:jIt's thrown me off kilter meal plan wise though today so I'll need to have a think about what to have for tea.
