Slimming World - a Christmas countdown!

Morning All,
Really cold this morning - think it was minus 10 deg!
My poor animals! I am debating whether to bring them in but that would mean them living in smaller houses for a week or until the snow & weather gets better!
Anyhow! This weekend has been bad - SW wise! Friday night was a works xmas do - free food & drink - not good for the plan - although i could have made it good if i had felt up to it!
Saturday started off good with a SW friendly cooked breakfast - but ended badly as i decided to consume 1/2 bottle of ameretto, 1/2 bottle of baileys! and numerous other drinks! Whoops - i also ate 'normal' party food - including sausage rolls & pizza!
Sunday started well with porridge but then i ended up round my mums and had a 'fry up' - not done the SW way!
I will wait and see what the scales say tonight & then off to Pizza hut with my mate for a xmas get together!
On good news though - my mum said that if i loose 3 stone from 3/1/11 to 21/06/11 (birthday) then she will take me shopping with £200 in her purse! Primark & peacocks here i come!!!
Hope everyone is keeping warm & enjoying the feastivities (sp?)
Take Care x0 -

Not sure if this has been queried before, or if the rules have changed, or if I'm just being sillybut Are you sure wholemeal pitta counts as a healthy B? just don't want you to be adding accidental syns for no good reason
Lord knows how well my day is going to shape up to SW - it'll be fine until tea time, which is normally the way  Think I'll need to refuse the apple crumble and custard, as I'm going to make us gnocci and some kind of tomato sauce to be baked in the oven, so that'll use some syns.Saturday started off good with a SW friendly cooked breakfast - but ended badly as i decided to consume 1/2 bottle of ameretto, 1/2 bottle of baileys! and numerous other drinks! Flipping heck Nessie, 1/2 bottle of amaretto and 1/2 bottle of Baileys - I am hugely impressedWere you still standing after that?
MrsM, if you are still struggling to get syns into you what about treating yourself to some of the wonderful flavoured oils around? Not only things like basil infused olive oil but also things like truffle and ground nut oils etc. You could add all kinds of scrumptiousness to your savoury meals and a tablespoon of olive oil is 6 syns I think, so you could easily bump up your syns that way. Plus I think it'd be something which wouldn't feel like a hardship for you to cut back out again if you need to reduce your syns. Just a thoughtPlus its a prezzie idea "wot can be got" from a supermarket if MrM or anybody else starts to look as if they are panicking about last minute present buying

Amazingly i was still standing - even made sense (to myself at least!) and to really rub it in - i didn't even have a hangover!
Just a sore throat from shouting to people passing by the flat, smoking far too much (naughty me!) & singing along to the music - i'm sure a cat was strangled! :rotfl:
I hardly ever drink & it has probably been a year since i have had a 'proper' drink - so i am making up for it! :beer:0 -

thanks for querying, SkintS, but yes CO-OP wholemeal pittas were recently added as an HEB; before that it used to be Tesco or Asda, but they changed their recipe. I love a load of mediterranean vegetables or a mixed salad in a hot pitta bread yummm! (and I've just slowly made my way thru the new SW site that no longer has a direct link to healthy extras - thanks for that Slimming World - and they are still listed. Must be Co-op though). Thanks:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Good afternoon all
Well folks-still lots of snow here today ..but it didn't stop me going out-I wrapped up warm
, put on my "sensible" walking boots and off we went... it was lovely and it was a 2hr trudge by the time we had done
-so that better have burnt some wobble
. We nipped into the supermarket whilst we were at it and got a bit more fruit
hubby carried it back in his backpack bless him (having a squaddie hubby really is a bonus sometimes
) ... Im hoping that if it isn't snowing tomorrow I may get out again and just have a walk for the sake of it... makes me feel so much better than lolling around the house all day...
Anyhoo -day 2 of operation "fruit" looks like this:-- 250ml semi (A)
- banana
- blackberries
- 2 egg omelette with :-
- peppers
- onions
- mushrooms
- 14g cheddar (3)
- activia (2.5)
- plain haddock
- cheese sauce (A+1.5)
- 227g jacket (B)
- nobbies
- cabbage
- carrots
- 100g rhubarb yoghurt (2)
- 250ml semi (6)
- fibre plus bar (B)
- fruit allowance:-
- 1 sweetie
- 1 apple
- 1 orange
- 4 clementines
- strawberries
..
Skintslimmer -I do use oils(I won't use spray stuff), rather keen on sesame and good ole extra virgin -but to be honest I need very little at a time -1/2tsp does a stir-fry for 2 of us.... eughhhhhh truffle oil.. I had that once, many moons ago and it tastes dirty ..
I use a fair few of my syns on yoghurts as I don't like the free ones -but I was eating that much fruit I really couldn't squeeze them down... now I am watching the fruit it won't be so bad and my other cunning plan is that Im now "buying" an extra 250ml of semi for 6 syns as I can easily make room for a couple more cuppas a day (I have milky tea)
Right I had better get off and get on with making dinner.. have a lovely evening all and keep safe n warm....-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 - 250ml semi (A)

-ya know what I mean don't you :rotfl: ... some things just taste/smell dirty or musty... a bit like I always think things with musk in smell like they want washing
There isn't much in the food department that I won't eat ..but truffle, truffle oil is one of em!!-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
you don't have to keep on trying to explain it, Mrs M. What's said is said. I wanna know how you know what dirty tastes like
nothing whatsoever to do with SW or food or moneysaving, but this might make you all smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWq60oyrHVQ:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Fairysnuff. Anyhoo, I've been busy having a good ish day, but those flipping fibre plus bars call to me at 3ish so I don't have them saved until the evening when I intend to eat them
I have had:
no breakfast (on the basis of I forgotand I often have a snack late evening, so it can be then instead and still be 3 meals
)
Lunch:- Cous cous
- Margold powder
- Chopped up bits (celery, cue, tomato, spring onions)
- quark
- a bowl of dyno soup to wash it all down
- 3pm fibre plus bar, with one of the many brews today (a & b)
- Beef stoo - second batch this week, don't know what's got into mother "I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat meat" dearest  with veggies, a jacket spud and peas.
- apple crumble with custard
I asked for a small portion, it was apparently made with splenda not sugar, and I'm counting my 15 syns for that and crossing my fingers
Have just had a lovely phone conversation with my consultant about whether or not I should stick to 15 syns a day or aim for lower (I was worried because I have gone from very active to couch potato sprouting roots) and she says yes I should stick to 15, and go for 30 or 35 over Christmas day and boxing day.
.....
I had been planning to say stuff the diet completely over those two days, but hearing her say the average gain Xmas week is 7lbs, I am re-thinking.
still... 30 syns? That's not a lot to have a good time at Christmas on....Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
... especially when you can't dance it off!
I've decided to be easy on myself for a couple of weeks, not only because of Christmas but because I bought a 6 week countdown then after WI that week discovered I had lost 5 lbs, leaving me 2 lb to lose in six weeks! So I'm going to go up and down a bit then concentrate in the last couple of weeksWI for us tomorrow, if it's not snowed off.
