Thanks for that - it is! I'm glad you're back - I miss your lovely helpful and positive comments.:T:T
I missed something whilst I was away, and haven't the time to plough through the pages I missed, plus don't want to ressurect something with bad karma, but just to say I find this thread a great help, and love all the positivity on here.

Life is pretty hard for everyone these days and having some fluffy fun is always good in my book.
My 'real life' is very hectic, literal, and professional so to come on here and get good honest advice with a laugh thrown in means a lot.:j

Anybody having trouble with the SW site tonight - I want to get on and update my weight loss and can't. Before I even get to the site it's coming up "Access denied""
Me too - I just checked. Probably a server problem. I wouldn't worry too much - check it later.:cool:NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -

I managed to log on about half an hour ago but they have totally updated the site layout - I had bother finding my way around! Maybe when you tried they were working at it. Give it another try.A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!!
Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!0 -
I'm off the wagon at the moment and only loosely following the plan and will until after Christmas I think. I don't seem to be in the zone to do it to the letter. I can't pinpoint the reason so it is best to have a rest (ish) and re start properly in the New Year.
I won't be going mad at all as the 2 pairs of jeans I bought the weekend are quite tight and there is no room for any bingeing or weight gain... or I'll have nowt to wear... so it's good to have something to keep me in check.
I'll still lurk as I like to see what you are all up to and steal your ideas and recipes.. I am sure I'll stick my 2 peneth in too at some point.

Well done on the losses folks :T and hugs to those feeling poorley!
Well I made it through last night :j... about 1hr before we went out the heavens opened and it snowed-by the time we left to go there was a good couple of inches on the floor allready.... lots of fun when wearing heels
-although it made it all festive n magical
and its snowing again now...
Anyhoo the night was ok -still would have prefered to be snuggled on the sofa with a cuppa. The plus side to it was it was a confidence boost as I really didn't feel out of place, or that I stuck out like a sore thumb -
"truth be told I felt like a million dollars"
and I was quite happy to move about -no wondering if I could squeeze through etc
. Now I didn't have dinner before I went -I just had a banana -and hubby was shocked when it came time for the buffet -now the old me would have refused to go up (they always send ladies first) -and then would have got hubby to get extra on his plate so I could snaffle some
Well last night I was one of the first to the buffet, I filled my plate with a hot pork n stuffing bap, pork pie, chicken wings, breaded chicken/mushrooms, tuna/egg/ham sandwiches and then plonked it in front of hubby as I didn't want any.... and I didn't care if anyone thought it was all for me
. I really wasn't tempted by any of it... it was all beige
-oohh and I only drank fizzy water - 4lts of the stuff
. So when we got home about 11:45 -I had my ryvitas (B) 28g cheddar (A) and a fibre plus bar (B) to use up my A+Bs and I enjoyed every crumb ..... but I didn't manage to use any syns at all yesterday
.
So today is back to normal and Im having a red day that looks like this:-- 250ml semi (A)
- 4 clementines
- 1 apple
- salmon fillet
- beetroot
- tickled bunions
- apple
- 100g rhubarb yoghurt (2)
- Goan pork curry (1)
- 198g potato (B) -wedged in :-
- 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
- 250ml semi (A)
- fibre plus bar (B)
- clementines
- activia (2.5)
Right I will get off for now... have a great day everyone and keep up the great work :j0 -

I've just logged in as with the old details - what are you looking for the syns for? I'll have a look for you.NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Hiya! Was I missed, and did I miss anything??! It was a rather unexpected enforced departure oweing to me falling off the face of the world - and back onto it with a thump, dislocating and smashing several bones in my ankle and spending 16 days in hospital  I am now a bionic woman with metalwork inside my leg and a cast and crutches
Needless to say, slimming world was at the back of my mind, hopsital food was horrific (not to mention the SIX days without a bowel movement! when I've never missed a day in my life!) but I am now staying at my parents' (mutter mumble) being looked after by a mother who herself wants to get back on SW, so seeing as I can't balance on one leg long enough to make any food, and if I did manage to make it I can't carry it, I am substituting will power for my mother - so far so good! :rotfl:
I desperately NEED to lose as much as poss, and definately not gain an ounce, because of me being on crutches, the lighter the better
So, today was a little like this:
b: dry fried egg, tomatoes and mushrooms
l: Mum's HM potato, carrot and leek soup with a slice of toast with a scraping of marmite (b) (I have discovered I quite like this even though its dry, when I have it with soup)
t: a Huuuuuuge jacket potato with cheese and beans (an a and a b if we are still allowed cheese as a b choice...?) it was dad's idea of a "small" portion of cheesesquirt of brown sauce (1). a mandarin and an apple.
milk in drinks through the day - (a)
syns: 1 small scoop of ben and jerry's phish food (I know, I know! 6.5 for a 60g scoop, hope that's the size I had) 2 ferrero (are they 3.5 each? so 7) makes that 14.5 in total. :j
I shall now begin the process of reading back and catching up....
however, I do have a rather nice recipe for braised red cabbage, dead easy too. Its Delia's so you may wish to look it up for exact quantities, but I use "some" brown sugar, a sweet apple and a glug of cider vinegar in mine, and by the time you count the sugar and divide it by the portions it really is negligible syns. We add a few walnuts and raising sometimes too, but obviously that pushes up syn value. does taste rather good though, and I have been found happily munching through a plate of that alone. That's when my housemate knew for sure that I wasn't right in the headNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0
