    :(:( please help
Hi Talular and welcome - you don't exactly say what help you want ..... and this is more a message board than chat room, people drop in when they can but most posters either work fulltime outside the home, or have family duties to attend to! :D You said yourself it wasn't a very good day ....so all I can say (and this is meant in a nice friendly way) is that it's UP TO YOU!!!!! It's your hand that picks things up and puts 'em in your mouth. Think of the old drug slogan - Just Say No. Think of what you will look like when you've lost your excess weight, whether it's lots of pounds or just a few .... come on, you can do it and if you have any questions there are lots of people here to help over the course of a day.

by the way, try putting enough milk into a mug for one cup of tea or coffee, then tip it into a measuring jug and see how much it is (for me it's 50 - 60 ml). That gives you an idea how many cups of coffee you can have in a day before you begin synning the milk ;)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Ps- had flexi day yesterday too- chicken wings, half portion of chips, 3 cookies and ben n jerrys phish food icecream!! I feel so bloated and disappointed in myself! as you can imagine, I know I shouldnt but I weigh at home too! I really need some support! Please help xx:(

I think the answer here is planning. You seem to eat whatever is to hand when you're hungry probably because there's nothing else handy at the time.

If you plan your meals in advance and always, always, have something low-syn in the cupboard or fridge that you can pick at whenever you get the urge to pick - fruit salad, pasta, crudites and dip etc.

I am always recommending slow-cookers to one and all. If you're out most of the day, it's so easy to chuck everything into a s/c in the morning and come home to a lovly meal, ready to serve. This helps eliminate the times when you go for the biscuit tin.

    Hope this helps.

  • well done Teecee!

I use my slow cooker a lot, especially in winter. I tend to make a potful at the weekend and then it lasts for a few lunches to have vegetables added and heated in the work microwave (today's chicken & mushroom casserole is divine!). I do tend to get things started in the m-wave though, especially browning some onions; I always imagine it adds more flavour but I don't know if it does as I've never put everything in "raw" so to speak.

oh I know what I was going to say, my throat was a bit tickly yesterday so I checked on my home-made blackberry vinegar and sure enough I have written on it "sugar free". I couldn't remember if I'd used sweetener instead of sugar, but I did! So now I can use that for minimal syns by adding it to hot water and adding a teaspoonful of honey (because it's never sweet enough without) and the combination of Vit C and vinegar sees off a tickly throat within hours. Obviously best made when blackberries are in season, but if anyone has a glut frozen and wants to know how to make blackberry vinegar, just say.
