Dug out an old recipe which might be nice for my fellow vegetarians for 'sunday lunch' type meals .. i get sick of quorn and nutroast, while delicious, is a bit high in syns
I almost fell over in shock when OH asked for seconds, he is NOT a lentil person, so it must be okay
Lentil loaf:
Simmer 1 cup of red lentils in water til tender, drain and partially mash. (watch carefully and keep testing as lentils go from 'hard' to 'disgusting mush' very quickly!)
Mix with 1 cup oats (about 3 HEB, but weigh them), 60 grated half fat cheese (1.5 HEA). Mix in 125g tomato puree (SW say this should be sinned, but I don't. Your choice!), 1 beaten egg, sat and pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp mixed herbs/parsley+basil/whatever you have, a slug of veggie worcester sauce / mushroom 'ketchup' (similar to worcester sauce) / soy sauce etc for flavour. Press into a greased loaf pan and bake at 200*c for about 30-40 mins til firm.
So 3 HEB and 1.5 HEA for the whole recipe, I usually have about 1/4 of it. Nice to go with sunday lunch
Recipe originally came from somewhere on www.food.com i think, but damned if I can find it to linkOriginal recipe uses ketchup or bbq sauce instead of the tomato puree, and it is nicer with the bbq but still perfectly tasty like this

I've lost 3 1/2 stone which I'm pleased about & do some walking/running every day but my face/neck area has gone scraggy/saggy.
I still need to lose about 1/2 stone but am afraid more will come off my face.
Are there any suggestions for exercises I can do?
I'm not considering a facelift!!!:o:o0 -
Morning all. Glad to see Mrs M and Consultant back! I'm having either a green day but messed up on my planning and having to count syns for the chicken in my curry, will try to give more chicken to OH and more veggies to me!!
Brekkie - porridge and banana (HEA&B)
Lunch - confused soup (2), ryvita (HEB), laughing cow(part HEA), melon, pineapple, kiwi

Morning all
hope you all had good weekends
mine was good meal-wise but bad snack-wise - why is there always cake and choc on offer??It was a birthday so hard to refuse, which would have been fine but one slice always leads to another....
Anyway, sticking to it in the week seems to be working for me, i'm feeling good.
Did a workout DVD this morning which was good.
EE today:
Brekkie - 2 egg omelette with ham, onion, mushroom, tomato and a tiny bit of feta (1/2 HEA)
Lunch - cheese and tom pasta
Snack - Ryvita and laughing cow (1/2 HEA and HEB)
Dinner - Shepherd's pieBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Good morning all from a snow-free but freezing cold Germany .... cor it is sooooooo cold *brrrr*
Takeiteazy .... I usually avoid the functions so most of the folks will only have seen me in passing. I have decided that I will wear the long black dress -Im not sure of the dress code, although we think it is less formal than the one we skipped on Friday..so I may end up looking overdressed -but hey ho
BlackberryRum -I will try and convince myself to get a photo -even though what I really like to do is "dive for cover" the minute I see a camera :rotfl:
Hubby is driving to the do tonight (we actually know where this one is as its on the other camp) we are going to park up and use the transport provided back home and then hubbies mate will take him to pick the car up in the morning,,,, the bonus is that the place is close enough that if the transport isn't until stupid o'clock we can book a taxi
So then -with tonight in mind Im planning a red/ee day -I will keep it red all day and only account for 1A+B and then if need be I can switch it to EE and if not I can have an extra A+B this evening-so excuse if my meal plan seems a bit odd,,,,
- 250ml semi (A)
- 2 eggs -scrimbled
- 2 large fresh tomatoes -roast
- 4 plums
- haddock fillet
- carrots/swede/nobbies -left over from yesterday
- 2 clementines
- 2 satsumas
- apple
- plums
- salmon fillet
- banana
- fibre plus bar (
(going with me in my handbag
)
...
If I don't eat whilst Im out then I will have my other A+B when I get back -a couple of cuppas and another fibre bar or a bit of cheese with crispbreads
I have sorted out this weeks main meals and they "should" be:-
Tues- goan pork curry (1)
Wed- salmon with sweet n sour stir-fry (2)
Thu-Tuscan chicken
Fri-Mechado beef stew (1)
Sat-home made burgers, wedges (2+B)
oooohh well I guess this week is a RED one then-I have had the pork for the curry marinating overnight and Im going to shove it in the slowcooker when we go out tonight -then it should be cooked by the time we get back and I can leave it to stand all day tomorrow so the flavour developes
. Hubby is on duty Wednesday, then should get Thursday off in lieu AND then he breaks up Friday evening for Xmas.... He is checking the times that the camp gym will be open over leave so we can get in there and not just loll around here doing nothing -Could this be the first xmas in history that I actually lose weight/stay the same instead of gaining loads
Anyway -this has turned into an essay again -sorry folks.. right I will get off and make a cuppa..have a lovely day everyone and keep safe n warm!!

Morning all,
Christmas party on Friday night - didn't eat too much but had a least 3 glasses of wine too many. Stuck to EE since then, and might try a couple of days from the super speedy menu Consultant posted just to make sure!
Todays food:
B - fruit
L - Jacket potato and bolognase (1 syn)
D - Cajun chicken soup + wholemeal bread (HEB)
Snacks - mullerlight, mini babybel (HEA),
Syns - wine (6) total: 7
On a side note, my BF seems unable to comprehend how slimming world works, no matter how often I explain it to him. This weekend he wanted to make me shepherd's pie (inc butter and cheese), steak (fried in oil) with salad (in an olive oil / balsamic vinegar dressing) and bought me some mixed nuts as a healthy snack! It is probs my own fault though cos I keep going on about how awesome SW is and I can even eat home-made chips. I don't want to hurt his feelings when he's trying to be nice, but I don't want to eat those foods cos I like saving syns for wine or chocolate!:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. Theres no reason why you can't have both the shepherd's pie and steak, you just need to ban certain products from the cooking of them! I had both of those this weekend for free! Oh and balsamic on its own makes a lovely salad dressing without the oil.
MrsM. it sounds like you have some potentially lovely recipes again, hope you'll share! The curry sounds interesting, I think OH would like that one and I like the sound of the chicken and the stew!0 -
