I wouldn't just have tatties n carrots or you might find yourself feeling deprived later and thats always a BAD thing when trying to eat well. I think we are all needing winter foods now -can't remember the last time I had salad :rotfl:...good job I like all veggies too
I had a massive salad yesterday!
Redeemed?

oh that was the other thing: who was asking about finding posted recipes and forgetting to note the post number? Why not just use the search box at the top of the page?
I'm still eating salads for supper sometimes Mrs M: tonight I had watercress, cucumber and spring onion, with freshly cooked potatoes into which I threw some frozen prawns and some (not pickled) beetroot to warm through, then threw on top of the green stuff. Added a small splosh of oyster sauce and some soy and it was like a salady stirfry and abso delicious! With something warm in it, a salad can be 90% superfree yet still feel like a proper meal, imo.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Evening all.
Thanks for everyone's replies, much appreciated!
I will get some pudding rice when I do my next shop and try that out,
I'm going to try fruit, yogurt and crushed up and 28g of the honey nut shredded wheat for breakfast tommorrow, at least it leaves the HEa free which is the main one I don't like using.
Today I had.
Brunch: 2 tesco sausages (2yns) mushrooms, tomatoes, egg, tinned spaghetti.
Dinner: ASDA chicken chasseur packet mix (4syns) hassleback potatoes, green beans and sweetcorn, 1 slice of bread (4syns)
Snack: 4 ryvita (Heb), 5 laughing cow blue cheese squares (HEa)0 -
I'm soooooooo tired, am fighting to stay awake but have so much to do. My thighs feel bruised from all that walking in the snow, must be a good workout :rotfl:. I'm lucky I can walk to work but hubby ventured out and it took him over 2 hours to get to work [about 16 miles] good job he didn't take son to college as well as he would have been lucky to get there at all. Son took a snow day as the road to his college is impassable in this snow.
Dizzy, have taken your advice and Dr is doing blood tests so hopefully be on the mend soon.
Food today:
B - weetabix B]b[/B milk B]a[/B coffee
L - mugshot, sw quiche - thinly sliced potato base, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions + cheese B]a[/B olive oil to fry base B]b[/B, cherry toms, melon, activia, fibre plus COLOR=magenta]b[/COLOR
T - sw chips, oil spray [2], toms, mushrooms, onions, spag hoops, tom sauce [1]
Snacks - 2x pears, pineapple+melon+onken+meringue [2.5]

I still worry about my rice puds - tend to cook a pit in the oven for 1 1/2 hours, then cool it and get it in the fridge within an hour.
I then reheat portions over the next 2 days - sometimes I take some to work in a coolbag with ice blocks for a snack.
Maybe I need to rethink this - done my food hygiene and am well careful with rice and know the dangers. Must not get complacent with pudding rice!
Have had bad food poisoning once on holiday in Malta and have never forgotton just how ill I was:eek:
Maybe smaller amounts would be better but cant have the oven on that long every day/2 days!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

AlisonT, any reason you can't make your rice pudding in the microwave? (ensure you use a much bigger pot than you think you need so it doesn't boil over). If you want the top to be crinkly would that work under the grill for five mins? Sorry, may be speaking thru my hat as I've never made rice pudding in my life.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
