I'm well off plan today. Took me 2 hours to get 10 miles this morning, went to cafe and had tea with sugar and a crispy cake. Don't care!
Escaped and went home via the shopping centre, thought i was going to get stuck. Didn't luckily. Did get a wee snicker at the big shiny merc and BMW 4x4s getting stuck in the snow:rotfl:I hate 4x4s with a passion - unless they are obviously working vehicles in which case i make an exception. I cruised past in my little peugeot:p While i was in M&S though i picked up a bargainiferous free range turkey reduced from £25 to £8, so that is xmas dinner sorted:money:
Got some decidedly un SW food too while i there, so will most likely be off plan tomorrow too:eek:
Well done to those with losses, especially the unexpected ones:T

  • I've been very SW friendly today!

B: Banana and fat free nat yog
    S: 2x satsumas
L: Salad with king prawns and smoked salmon, then grapes for afters
D: Plan is some baked river cobbler with cous cous - I will either syn the Cous Cous or use it as a HEB if I can?

Which means I still have my HEA's and poss HEB's to have. Proud of myself for resisting the MOUNTAIN of biccies that lives in our staff room - can't help but wonder that I've been totally starving most of the day though. I'm reckoning it's totally psychological and because I've decided to go on a "diet" I'll be hungry from here on in??

Anyone else ever get that way?

    xx
  • Hi all,

I was wondering if I can join in please?

I did slimming world about 2 years ago (geewizz - was it really that long??) I lost 2 stone for my bro's wedding, got down to a slim size 10 - but then got complacent. I had the attitude of "Now I'm at target, I can go it alone really - I know what to do to stay thin!", which soon became "well, I'm thin now, so it doesn't matter if I switch back to oil from fry light Etc." Then BAM - before you know it I've put the weight all back on again! :o

I've yo-yoed with the idea of doing something about it for a few months now, but I've finally had enough - so tomorrow is D day!

I weighed in today (at my MIL's Hubby to be won't let me have my own scales as I get a bit obsessed!!), I've lost a little due to a recent bug, so I now WI at 10stone 11lbs and am just shy of 5`7"

So - here goes for thenext stage on my weight loss journey - 4 weeks 'til chrimbo, so I'm aiming to lose between 6-10lbs between now and then!

    xx
I am relatively new to this thread as well, the people are really great , the worst thing is when I am trying to backtrack to find a receipe I want to try and forget to write the post number !!

Your weight seems great to me, I am 5.6.5 and my Gym weighing machine says my ideal weight is 10.12 which unfortuately I am not, I set my target higher at Group as I find at 67 its much harder to shift the pounds and whilst I go to the Gym at least 3 times a week sometimes more, its hard going at times.

Ouch MsGnomey - much sympathy from me on that one.

    So far I have had:

B- wholemeal toast (HE) with butter 3.5 syns, clementine
L - beef and veg tin soup 10 syns
D - jacket potatoes, cheese (HE), baked beans

snacks - apple, pineapple, cold beef

Annoyed about the soup, should have checked first. I shall make and freeze some in future.

Not bad for a 1st attempt.

:T:T:T Soup looks Fab Sary ;)

Glad it was a hit with the family too.....bonus :)

If you find it too thin, I sometimes take a bit out and whizz it in the blender then throw it back in just to thicken the whole batch up nomnomnom

Soup def looks fab, but I'm not sure I like the family sharing my low-fat treats! Made a huge pot of minestrone on Saturday morning, enough to last me the week............ gone before I even had time for any for Sunday lunch:eek:

And there was me hoping they might scoff some of the naughty, tempting stuff laying around :rotfl:
