    Evening all,

Dizzy is that case nearly packed yet? Thanks for suggesting the ingredients to make the veggie soup, as I love the Heinz one. I'm definitely going to give that a go. Shame I've been shopping today already, but will make a note of the ingredients for next time.

I definitely need to try to shop on more of a budget, because I seem to be spending nigh on £100 a week, and then some, and it's really not feasible on our lack of income right now. I wish the Lidl store was closer, because I could get my veggies there more often. I have stocked up on meat with the benefit of the 3 for £10 packs in Sainsburys today, so we had a nice roast dinner today, that fed 5 of us, and cost about £4 for all of us, so that's not bad going.

I've got lots going on here at the mo, and could really do with doing some proper meal planning. I kind of have an idea in my mind of what there is to choose from, but don't have a plan for the week. I think it's because I quite like to be laid back, and have a free and easy attitude most of the time.

Third WI tomorrow, but no idea whether it's going to show a loss or not. I am beginning to feel less bloated now though, which is a bonus.

    Food today : EE

B - Banana, muller cheesecake yogurt (1 syn), Fibre+ bar [HEB]
L - Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, activia snackpot (1/2 syn)
D - Roast chicken: inc. 2 wings (2 syns), SW roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, peas, gravy (2 syns)
    HEA - milk

I've just got the milkman to switch us from semi-skimmed, to 1% milk. I've tried to look up the allowance for my HEA, but can't find it. Does anyone know? I would guess at about 300ml, as it's somewhere between semi-skimmed and skimmed, but would rather be sure.

I hope we're all firmly stuck back on the wagon for the next week, and that we don't have too bumpy a ride!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Been rather more organised than I usually am on a Sunday ... i cooked a veggie stew for dinner, leftovers from that have been packed up with rolls for me and OH's lunches tomorrow (white with butter for him, wholemeal without for me), and I cooked a pan of chilli at the same time so that's dinner sorted for tomorrow night!

I must stop making excuses about having time / being too tired to cook proper healthy stuff, it took me 20 mins to put both together, then left them simmering while I did other stuff!

Also got boots, gloves and scarves ready for tomorrow O_O Being walking distance and having an important meeting to attend I have no excuse unless the entire building is shut.
  • Hello all.

Does anyone know who makes will power? The ability to have less than 20 syns a day, perhaps?! Can you tell I've not been on plan?? :p

I need help again ladies. I think I just need to get organised, tbh :o but in order to pull it all in for a loss on the scales next wednesday, anbody got any tips? I seem to still be feeling the need for some serious amount of eating "winter" foods; potato, pasta etc. So I think I'll stick to green for now. I also have the worst skin ever at the mo with all the cold weather, so think I need to allocate some of my healthy extras to oil.

c'mon then, any recipes, or just generally good ideas? I am studying tomorrow, was hoping to go for a swim in the morning to start the day off well, but the icy weather is putting me off :o I need brain food, comfort food, and on-plan food. Free food by the bucket load. I think I am going to toddle off to the shops in the morning and stock up on tins of spaghetti, mug shots, smash, and all those type of things. Mmmm might make a HM pasta bake... Need to save 6 syns for a glass of wine in the evening with a friend, well, maybe I'd better be a bit more realistic and say 12 :o so 3 syns left over for my choccy fix. Hmmm If I make it to the pool I might pop in to costa and get one of their chocolate on a stick thingumies, and take it home to save it for evening choccy fix.

I've been on EE since starting out on SW about 2 months ago but today I had my first ever GREEN day (I think).

I didn't make it easy for myself. My plan was to have pasta with Philly as that was one of OH's favourite meals before I started on SW. I chose today (unusual for a Sunday because I needed a quick, easy meal as I had too much on to do my usual roast).

    I've had:

Breakfast: NAS grapefruit squash, 2 boiled eggs and slice of wholemeal toast, tea.

    Lunch: HM lentil soup

Tea: (out at buffet) veggie sticks like carrot, celery and cucumber and hard boiled eggs and water melon.

Dinner: pasta with stock, peas, mushrooms and Philly (OH had bacon as well but I didn't)

I make that bread, Philly and milk in teas as my HEs for the day. Can't wait to get back to EE tomorrow.

Can anyone explain why Philly (other soft cheeses are available) isn't like any other cheese when it comes to counting HEs?

From my post you quoted, the stress there is work related. If you are refering to me being 'stressed' about sw & weight loss I'm not 'stressed' just concerned that I'm still losing weight [lost another 1.5 this wi] I'm now 6.5lb UNDER target and not sure how to keep it on an even keel apart from the obvious of eating more syns which I think would put me back where I was i.e. overweight.
But if you think I'm stressing I'll keep it to myself.
No I was just worried for you !

I am struggling to get back to where I was before my holiday, then it was going smoothly, but I also must admit I am what my group calls a serial weigher' dont listen to what our consultant says, I have to weigh myself every morning !!!

I take quite of lot of medication for various ailments ! so I weigh in at 9.30 a.m. but go to the 5.30 meeting where the friends I have made since joining last year are.

    I am a bewildered woman.

My scales tell me I lost 6lbs last week. That's 10.5lbs in a fortnight. What the heck is going on? I wasn't on plan 100% last week - probably nearer 75% and I spent the weekend with relatives who stuffed me with food and made me drink wine. Ok, I made myself drink the wine but they really never stopped feeding us.

I honestly don't want to be one of those smug people who say they've eaten chips and lard all week and still lost...but I feel like it.

    Odd. Distinctly odd.
  • Morning all, I'm trying to make an effort to stop lurking on here!
Hoope everyone is ok, I made the most amazing dinner last night, chicken kebab using a HeB pitta bread, it was so morish!!!
Then had a bowl of frozen strawberries and blueberries (thawed of course lol) with a danone fat free vanilla yogurt, dusted with cinnamon - is this free? oh it was devine!

Tonight I'm doing chicken chasseur from a packet mix with tatties and lots of veggies

Morning all, weekend wasn't great as Friday and Saturday night involved champagne, wine and three course meals but hoping it won't have done too much damage if I stick to plan the rest of the week.

Breakfast - activa snackpot and some strawberries.
Snack - 2 alpen light bars
Lunch - sw quiche, velvet crunch, apple
    Snack - pink wafer
Dinner - pork steak, spinach and potato gratin, broccolli, leeks and corn on the cob
