TakeitEasy...can't say I've ever noticed you being overly stressy so I wouldn't worry!!
It's freezing here too, I walked to the shop earlier, it was just starting to snow when I set off and by the time I got back there was a good couple of inches of the white stuff......I was only gone 40 mins!!! OH was driving to work at the same time, it took him over an hour which means it'll probably take me twice as long tomorrow as I'm a total wimp! I'm really hoping that we have a load more snow overnight (after OH gets home) so I get snowed in!!!
Im going for a green day today:
Brekkie - scrambled eggs and tinned toms
Lunch - HM leek and celery soup, pitta pizza (HEA&B + 0.5 syns), HM salsa
Tea - pork (HEB), potatoes, veggies, gravy (3), might have some stuffing, depends if I have any other syns between now and then!!!
HEA - milk in teas
Snack - might have some supernoodles as OH won't be home from work till late :-(0 -
Hello all, I've read through but forgot to "double balloon" the posts I wanted to comment on and have forgotten what it was now. Takeiteazy you havent struck me as being particularly overstressed so don't worry - you are taking in extra Healthy Extras arent you?
I had a bash at the SW quiche with a sliced potato base the other day. As I use the microwave for (practically) everything I sprayed a small shallow dish, sliced potatoes over the bottom (I would put them up the sides too another time), covered it tightly and miked it for a couple of mins and the potatoes were cooked. Of course, they weren't brown but that doesn't matter much as you can't see them. I "fried" some onion slices and mushrooms and put them into the case, then beat a couple of eggs with a big spoonful of quark and tipped that over, mixed in some herbs and then sliced a large tomato over the top, topped again with a few scrapings of Cathedral Light cheddar. Miked it on 3/4 power for about 5 mins until the egg was cooked. It was nice. Another time I wouldnt bother with the tomato, I forgot I don't like egg and tomato together. the potatoes had exactly the same damp floppy texture as when you get pastry on the bottom of a quiche at a party, but knowing it was potato rather than damp pastry made it ok to eat
next time: potatoes up the side; forget the quark it doesn't help; add more cheese; no tomatoes. That's just messages for me
it's cold and icy here but no more snow and not expecting any tomorrow so shd be ok to get into work (very steep windy hill to get down to reach a "cleared" road)
Good luck everyone.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

I try [not very hard] to have extra HEs and do manage to at least twice a week when on lunch duty [have 3 HEbs] but mostly don't have room to fit them in
. Will try harder
I also love making the quiche [doing another this arvo] I fried the slices last week to brown and crisp them but by the time I ate it over the week it was soggy anyway but still very nice. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I had to bite the bullet a long while ago and let the doc help me out with some happy pills after all the things going wrong with the original op.....and Yep they can give you an appetite - but now you're on SW thats not a bad thing as you are able to eat so much 'free stuff' without even counting it.....so I wouldnt worry about that bit at all.
Chin up chuck - Oh and Blackberry is quite right.....get those HEBs down you....naughty naughty smack your legs :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I agree with all of this - take it easy on yourself Takeiteasy!!
I've been lurking this week - getting myself back on track and have lost 1 lb of the 2 I put on so am happy enough.
It's been a bit of a week with my nephew George. He came home after the nuerosurgery, then was blue lighted back to Leeds as he was so unwell. He then came home on Friday and I think it is going to be a long haul this time. It's been quite worrying, but I think we are getting there.
We have loads of snow here - I usually drive a posh mercedes but last year it was a nightmare in the snow as it is rear wheel drive, has big fat tyres and is automatic.... 3 bad things for snow. We were thinking about how to get round this and we bought a w reg Micra last weekend as, believe it or not, it was cheaper than putting snow tyres on my car, and a darn site more effective! It is fab in the snow and we are loving it. We went to Waitrose today in it, and parked next to the poshest car in the car park as a laugh. We are loving the retro 'chique!'.
I am worried that all this snow is my fault as I was hoping for snow after we bought it, and boy did we get it!:)
Good losses from peeps - well done, and hugs to those who need it!:A

Were having exactly the same issues as you with the car Job. My OH got me a new MX5 for my Birthday (stupid thing is ive not been able to drive it yet with the damn vertigo & vision probs ....still its been good being a passenger) anyway...... its an Automatic, wide wheels, rear wheel driveand we cant really think about sorting a different car just at the mo as we go away in a week. OH has use of the works van through the week so getting to work is ok....its just everything else

Hi all,
I was wondering if I can join in please?
I did slimming world about 2 years ago (geewizz - was it really that long??) I lost 2 stone for my bro's wedding, got down to a slim size 10 - but then got complacent. I had the attitude of "Now I'm at target, I can go it alone really - I know what to do to stay thin!", which soon became "well, I'm thin now, so it doesn't matter if I switch back to oil from fry light Etc." Then BAM - before you know it I've put the weight all back on again!
I've yo-yoed with the idea of doing something about it for a few months now, but I've finally had enough - so tomorrow is D day!
I weighed in today (at my MIL's Hubby to be won't let me have my own scales as I get a bit obsessed!!), I've lost a little due to a recent bug, so I now WI at 10stone 11lbs and am just shy of 5`7"
So - here goes for thenext stage on my weight loss journey - 4 weeks 'til chrimbo, so I'm aiming to lose between 6-10lbs between now and then!

Evening all. Just waiting for OH to come home. He's left a bit early but just as he rang to say he was setting off I was on facebook where I learnt it had taken my uncle 2.5hrs to do the same journey but in reverse!!! I have it to do in the morning, can see me having to take a snow day, will see what its like in the morning.
I've had some peas soaking to make mushy peas all afternoon, going to go pop them on now, although if OH takes as long as my uncle they'll be done well before he gets here!!!0
