You can have 57g as a heb which is just under a quarter of a tub, i dont use quite that much as i boil my pasta using a veg stock cube and and use some of the water to thin it out a bit. My current fave is the sweet chilli one, its lurvely with salmon or grilled chicken mixed in too.

Just thought I'd better quote exactly what nickynoo said yesterday as she was absolutely right. I'm very sorry but I just assumed it would be an A. I assumed all cheeses would be. I'm off to read my food optimising book (properly):o:naughty:
  • Evening ladies

Sorry I haven't been around. My mum and dad are staying for the week and it's been a bit busy round here.
Thanks for all the lovely support last week when I had a bit of a moment.
I am skiing off piste here - it is difficult trying to stay on plan while trying to avoid my mum and her LOVE = FOOD mantra. Still I lost loads this week. Down to 19 stone... six off yay! That will make up for gaining some the other week and gaining some this week. Not only am I here with my mum during the week but I'm off to the MIL at the weekend who also believes firmly that FOOD=LOVE.

MrsM that dress will look awesome, your fella won't know what's hit him.

  • Can anybody please help me:(

I started a new job this week and my routine has completely gone. In my last job I used to have Ready Brek in my morning break (HE A&B), lunch was a jacket or pasta and a bit of fruit and then at afternoon break I would have a yoghurt and fruit etc.

My new job means I have only 1/2 hour lunch (no other breaks in the day) and if I'm in the office a kitchen with only a kettle and sink :(

On some days I will be out and about all day in different places (support worker) so I can take a flask with Soup but I really don't think I will last long on soup every day. Although, I will take a couple more breaks, i'll just have to tell them I was doing my paper work or "networking" ;)

Does anybody have any ideas on how to keep on plan? Any sort of things I can take out with me. I have a bag of apples and satsumas in the car but they look really unappetising, especially in the cold weather.

Hi velveteen, i'm out most of the day. I do all green days as i like the extra A and B choice you get. I take a flask of soup (HM stand your spoon up its so thick lentil!), a wholemeal roll with cheese/ham/pickle on it, some fruit and a yoghurt. That is tonnes for lunch and keeps me going til i get home.

  • Hiya - kettle=noodles to me!

Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall did a thing a couple of weeks ago about making homemade pot noodles that tasted good I think it's still on the channel4 website.

Get a pot - put egg noodles in. Add spring onions, a spoonful of veg stock powder, chop in a chilli, take a tin of sweetcorn in with you and one of those little fish filled with soy from a sushi box.. add boiling water to cover the noodles.

  • Well my dinner plans went slightly to pot! Muggins here forgot it was parents evening  DD reminded me when i picked her up from afterschool club, so dashed to school. Thankfully wasn't late for my appointment:o Took ages and didnt get home til nearly quarter to 7, could have eaten a scabby horse and didnt have time to make anything so DD and i shared pizza and chips from the chippy. Wasn't even very nice.
