Having a rare Red day today.

Brekkie : 3 extra lean sausages (1.5 syns), WM toast (2 x HEB), HP sauce (2 syns)

Lunch : Beef stoo + cabbage

Dinner : Chicken salad (1 syn for dressing)

    Snacks : Fruit

HEA : Milk in tea through the day

We're off to see relatives this weekend so I suspect it'll all go to pot. Hey ho :rotfl:
  • hello all, well done on the losses ladies and any gents that frequent these pages.
Well I've rejoined a local class, not too sure about the consultant as when I explained that I'd lost 5lb at home doing SW on my own but I'd decided to join a class as I felt I needed the support, the reply I got was (in a patronising tone I may add) 'well we all know how to do it, but that's why we come to class for the support and the rest of all the groups in the country 3000+ are proof of that cos if we could all do it at home we wouldn't bother'

 to say I am annoyed and miffed is a bit of an understatement, however have been a little irritable lately so not sure if I'm taking it the wrong way or making too much of it.

First day on plan was fine and now I've got a very sore throat, a cold, alternating between being too hot then too cold and feeling generally carp.
So last night SW went out the window and got a takeaway but I've sinned everything and I'm over my sins by about 15 (each day) for the past 2 days, so gonna try and cut back (syn wise) over the next few days.

Could really do with a big loss this week to spur me on, if my drive home doesn't take hours (2hrs last night cos of snow and 2.5 hrs this morning cos of it, should be 45 mins) then I'll make some dyno rod soup.

Well done on the losses again ladies :T:T everyone seems to be doing great at the mo :p

Loonylamb Sorry you felt you're consultant was a bit patronising :( I'm sure she didnt intend to come across this way....some people just do unfortunately, and I suppose its her 'bread & butter' so she is going to want as many members as poss other wise she has no job (and anyway she does have a point that going to class DOES help.....but she maybe needs to brush up on her interpersonal skills before opening her trap in future :o :rotfl:)
But like you say you've not been feeling yourself of late...and now you've come down poorly sick - so give it a chance and go back with a fresh head ....and Im sure things will seem better ;) x x

MrsM I was smiling to myself when I read your post how you wanted to keep your lovely dress on and just 'swish round the house in it' :) what a lovely feeling it must be to finally feel confident in your own body and to put an item of clothing on and not stand there wincing at your reflection in the mirror ...... I cant wait for that day to happen to me too ;) you soooooo deserve to look and feel wonderful when you go to this do MrsM - Im sure MrM will be speachless at how gorgeous you look x x

Well big bumpoo B*gger soditt

I cant get to class to WI tonight :( and I soooooo wanted to see If I had my 2 stone shiney tonight  Its my last WI next week so fingers crossed for a really good final result (cos Im sure as heck gonna be losing my award over the month away :rotfl:)

My usual friends arent going (the driver is on a emigrating do from work) and my OH has text to say theres no chance he will get back in time to take me as the snow in North Yorks this morn was a white out - and beyond that its snowed pretty much on off all day so it could be a late one :( no sign of anything here yet.....but its forecast overnight and all next week.

10 sleeps and counting to my hols.....getting giddy now:T....but hoping the white stuff doesnt make the journey to manchester or the flight go tits up

What a lovely post MrsM. I could just imagine you floating around the house with a smug smile on your face, I just had to look the dress up. Thank you, as it helps us all remember how good we'll feel as the weight comes off, very motivating.

Sorry to hear you had such a curt response from the consultant loonylamb. She was probably miffed becasue you lost weight without paying! I must admit I'm not over-enamoured with my group at the moment. It's so formulaic that it gets boring. Fortunately there are nice people to chat to during WI time who I wouldn't normally meet. Oh and today we had tasters of yummy syn-free sausages so it was worth going for that.

gunsandbanjos, nickynoo was kind enough to tell me yesterday that you can have 57g of Philly as a HEA. What I don't understand is whether there is any difference between the HEs listed for EE and those in the 'extra' list for Green days.

Thank you, i just looked it up on mimimins though and they said 57g was a B choice. I'm mighty confuzzled:o

Edit: found my food optimising book amd soft cheese is indeed a B choice, which means i can't have it today as i have already had 2 Bs. I flexi a friday so i may have it tomorrow. I got some whoopsied chestnut mushrooms so i'm thinking a creamy, mushroom/garlic pasta.

I was just gonna post about that...... Ive never seen Philly as an HEA (I love it :o) but looking thru my book its a HEB???? eh??? mightily confused goats cheese is a HEB too!

Il ask when I go to class next week if I remember....unless someone else can do it first.

It seems odd to say the least, i'm sure they have their reasons though. It is only 2 syns for 28 g though which seems quite reasonable. 56g would be a decent portion, might try it on some ryvita if i have any syns left later.

Dinner will instead be quorn bolognaise with wholemeal pasta and 42g (A) of cheese and probably a laughing cow or 2 stirred through, or maybe some philly for 2 syns, oooh decisions.....

I had pasta last week with a little bolognaise, some cheddar and a humoured cow in it and it was lovely.

Morning ladies, wi last night and lost half a pound which I was really disappointed with. I had completely stuck to plan, loads of super free and super speed foods and really upped my exercise but lost no more than I have each week for the last month. I feel like I am stuck and consultant last night had no explanation for it other than possibly fluid retention or it will come off next week. Only problem is I have lots of events and functions this coming week which is why I had been extra good the last week
I'm in the same boat Primmer. :( I only lost half a pound this week and it IS annoying. MY DH brought home a couple of boxes of mince pies last week - I didn't touch them! I have forgotten what cheese is, I never eat cakes, sweets or chocolates anyway.

My consultant was sympathetic and looked through my diary sheets and exercise log and says she can't understand it either. Mind you she did say that the people who lose BIG amounts in the early days are usually people who have very, very poor eating patterns before they joined SW.

The other thing I keep wondering is whether I'm a person who loses weight over a longer period - ie a fortnight or even a month.
