blackberry-rum wrote: »oh, and Autumnflower, don't waste your money on WW tomato sauce for pasta. Just cook down (that is, simmer slowly until there appears to be less in the pan than you started with) a regular tin of tomatoes, chopped or otherwise. You can chop them yourself if necessary with a knife or scissors. The addition of some chopped onion, garlic, herbs is always good but not essential for a basic rich tomato sauce.
Cook your pasta separately, drain it, then pour over it the "reduced" tomatoes.
I will next time, got about 5 tins of chopped tomatoes in the cupboard. I have a little tiny blender so I can only make small portions, but I think it will be enough if I just want a quick pasta sauce. Will probably stick some onion and peppers in it too. The WW sauce was only 68p from herons anyways so no big loss there.
I was going to go for the hot chilli powder as I usually like quite spicy things, but wanted to err on the side of caution, just in case it blew my head off :rotfl:
I had a look at egg fried rice recipe and I think it seems pretty simple. Will probably just put some pea's in it. I'll probably have egg fried rice and the stir fry veg tomorrow. Might stick some of the leftover bacon in it actually..... hmmm, choices choices now haha.Slimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

My current fave is the sweet chilli one, its lurvely with salmon or grilled chicken mixed in too.
Thanks nicky, OH will be delighted if that comes back on the menu again. We like Garlic & Herb Philly light with stock and peas and mushrooms added to pasta.
autumnflower, I'm a fan of syn-free Batchelors rice. The golden one is very tasty and would be a meal in itself with a pile of stir-fry veg. I always microwave mine while I'm doing the stir-fry. You could add a small teaspoon of your new chilli powder to the veggies if you want a bit more taste.0 -

I'm going to have to wean myself off my crisp habit (again) when I start back at SW - can anyone give me the syns for multipack Walkers (25g - say cheese n onion) and Walkers Baked (normal bag 35g?). I know there are French Fries & Quavers etc which are lower, but I associate those with diet so I have to trick myself
Many thanks0 -
Evening all, lost 1.5lbs at WI tonight. It's my birthday on Tuesday so I'm going to try to be extra good till then so I can have a slice of cake and something nice for tea at the pub without doing too much damage!0

Alisont: they do say that people who stay to class are more successful at the weight loss. But I completely get you - I feel guilty about wasting time at my class, but it does seem to keep me a bit more on track.autumnflower wrote: »Just wondered what people do with leftover stir fry veg? I don't have any meat to make another stir fry, i do have some rice though I could put with it.... so slightly stumped here!
Well beggar me old boots, I lost 3.5lbs this week :j Pity the consultant is soooo dizzy she doesn't remember things from 5 minutes ago, let alone last week, cos she kinda just said well done and carried on, whereas I wanted to gush about what I'd changed. Which I did anyway, cos I have a big gob!
Does anyone know if ribs are free? Can't work out if they've got fat or notDon't care tonight anyway - am having ribs with HM honey salt and pepper sauce, and baked aubegines with garlic. Drool.

Excellent weight loss:)
Yes I have been going to group and have stayed for most classes but in this cold weather and with a chesty cough that will not shift Im not at my most sociable in the evenings as I'm so tired at the mo as going on average of 6 hours kip a night.
You are right there they do say those who stay for class seem to do very well. I think my Dad may be able to take me to class tomorrow for WI but he will only wait about 10 mins for me if I want a lift home and as Its so freezing at night I will take him up on the kind offer as I dont want to miss WI.
Will go to the other class next week as I'm on a course Thu eve.
Once I get over the busy spell over the run up to Christmas I shall have more time for class:)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Thank you Autumnflower
I just decided that if I saves at least 6 syns for night time, I could have chocolate. Having it last thing at night made me appreciate it and nto go back for 2nds and 3rds.
I was honest and counted every syn instead of pretending
Need 2lbs this week, then thats a stone off before Xmas! If I do that I'll carry on losing whatever, and be happy after Christmas that if I come out the other side having kept that stone off
No idea about food today - I need both money and to go shoppingNothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0
