Totally agree that consultants should be good SW role-models. Maybe it depends where she started from;). I thought that was how they were recruited as so many of the 'success stories' in the magazines are now consultants themselves. Our consultant is as thin as a pin but I've seen her 'before' pictures and she's lost loads.

I've got a filthy cold and don't fancy eating anything but I'm off to force a grapefruit down to keep me going until teatime.

Our consultant looks amazing.....she has her before pics up and she is literally half the woman she was!!!! but looks about 15 years younger too :D it must make a difference to how much inspiration members get from a consultant when they've done so well themselves?

    Morning all,
So my 2nd weigh in was on Monday evening, and I lost 1lb this week, which got me my first shiny 7lb sticker. My son lost another 1lb too, and is 1/2lb away from his first sticker. The ladies there are all totally in love with him.
No feeling nicer than getting the shiny - and you can share in your son's celebrations next week when he gets his too! Absolute magic! Well done!:T
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!
  • At SW weigh in last night I lost another 1lb, a slight increase on my usual half a pound, so not bad. Total 10 and a half pounds in about 12 weeks. Slow but sure!

I normally stay for the body image stuff, but I snuck off last night after weighing as there was something about a Miss Slinky Competition - did anyone else have that at class? The brief last week was dress up and bring food - I did neither and looking around last night I don't think anyone else did!

For the record, my consultant is rather chunky around the hips. This is not enhanced by her tight cord trousers and a shortish jumper that she constantly pulls down to try and cover them! She's very pleasant though. No before pics, so no idea of her history. I think they are rather stricter on WW regarding the image of their consultants.

Sarymclary - congrats on the shiny !

Lucy - yay for the loss

I made quiche last night and took half to work for lunch today and the other half for tomorrow. Have to say that it was yummy! I used sliced new potatoes as the base as mentioned in an earlier post then I put base in the oven to cook and then added a mixture of cottage cheese, eggs, onion and ham to the base. Grated some low low cheese on top with a few tomatoes and baked in oven till it looked like cooked quiche. Will definately making it again soon.
  • Afternoon,

I don't really know how to say this but i put on 8.5lbs over the last 2 weeks!

But i did enjoy the bad food i ate!

It shows how easy it is to put on weight again!

But to be fair i have had quite a bad few weeks - i lost one of my guinea pigs - she died in my arms - it was awful!

I have also got my bad back - Dizzy you were right about the co-codamol!

I spoke to my consultant on Monday and i am on Fast Forward for the next 2 weeks! The straight jacket has arrived!

Just to give you a taster of what it entails this is my meal plan for the day

    B - Banana, Pear, Apple & Plum
    S - 2 rich tea fingers
L - 2 slices of wholemeal bread (400g loaf) with 42g low fat cheddar & plum
    S - 113g grapes (about 10!) with 2 plums
D - 57g extra lean beef mince (raw weight) 1 small onion, 2 heaped tbsp kidney beans, made with chilli powder & 1 clove garlic (no oil used so thank god i have a non stick pan!) with 57g (dry weight) rice with 142g (raw weight) carrot & 142g (raw weight) broccoli
S - small bag french fries & fun size choco bar!

To be fair the meals are probably the portion sizes we are supposed to have & i can fill up on water - have to drink 500ml every morning afternoon & evening! But i am absolutely starving! Within an hour of eating my dinner i will be famished! Hopefully my stomach will shrink!

Fingers crossed i can get the weight i have put on off in 2 weeks! Apparantley i could loose it in 1 week!

Well done to all loosers & hugs to STS or gainers x

Cauldron burgers are ok, but didn't manage to eat it all, probably only managed half at the most, will count 4 syns for what i did eat.

Have had both B and A choices and 5.5 syns.
Will have a kitkat later and maybe an alpen bar.

Later 'gators, going to go fail to buy stuff on amazon...

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Evening so cold today was glad of soup at lunch.

I have friends coming round tonight - have made SW hummous, got breadsticks, carrot sticks, rice cakes and some mini cranberry falafels from the health store plus normal ones - also got a tub of pringles but those wont tempt me as am totally over my crisp addiction now.

If I can get a lift to club tomorrow Il go for WI but if its all icy and I have to walk the mile each way I wont go as just too cold to go out for just a way in. I wont stay for class as its some scan bran challenge and you are meant to bring a recipe and a dish - I have not got any of those awful scanbran and all recipes ive seen include eggs so not vegan. I tend to avoid non veggie bring and share events/buffets so will have to be anti social this week!

Doubt I shall stay for many meetings as so much easier to whizz into one by work to get weighed but know this does not suit everyone. I wish there was a 5.30 class in my village as i hate going out in the cold after a busy day at work:o

    Hope everyones getting on ok?
