Ah I see. Thanks guys. Always have it in the back of my head that 15 each day isn't right cos its supposed to average out at 10... but the way I see it I unfortunately have a lot to lose at the mo, so hopefully going up to the full whack won't affect.

.. if I don't lose this week I think I will cry in class :o Not that I'm a drama queen or owt ;):p

but at least my little (large) monthly visitor is here, which explains the wanting to eat everything in sight thing. Am weeing like a mad thing, so am hoping to lose some weight from lack of water retention, if nothing else!

You'll probably find that by sticking at the 15 a day you have more scope for allowing the 'naughty nice' treat at the end of the day without going into a full on binge fest ;)

Ive got everything crossable crossed for you for WI this week hun :D x x

well girlies I've decided to bite the bullet and join a class tonight, haven't really been on plan for the last few days which started with a trip to Taybarns (all you can eat place with profiteroles, apple crumble, custard, cream, chocolate fudge sauce, carrot cake chocolate cake etc) as you can imagine I had a good time :D

I'm gonna go to the class I joined earlier in the year and hopefully my old consultant won't be covering or I may have to scream and run out

    :T:T Good luck tonight ;)

I had a lovely Sunday lunch out yesterday. SW paradise with a starter buffet of prawns, salmon (smoked and poached), lots of leaves and cooked ham and beef. Silver service main where I had pan-fried cod with crushed new potatoes and sort of mushy peas and then buffet puddings which included loads of fresh fruit. I reckon the only syns might have been in whatever the cod was fried with but it was quite dry so not much oil used. Unfortunately lots of wine syns were consumed alongside:o

Even better, was that before I went out I had to try on 3 pairs of trousers before I found one that wasn't too big and baggy:)

Huge pot of chilli (free on EE) in slow cooker. I had to taste some and it's delicious!!

Well done everyone who's sticking to the plan. Hopefully this will be a good, losing week for everyone.
  • Thank you Psychopathbabble & Joedenise :T

will try adding extra spice/worcester sauce to the next batches i heat up :)

  • Thanks again Dizz :) I could squish you and everyone else with a great big hug for how supportive you all are!

Freaking nora, good job I've just looked this one up. Thought most packet sauces were about 7 syns. looked up basic/unbranded packet cheese sauce up on website - 5 1/2 per 28g. Did a google to find out how many grams there are, and find a facebook site for SW syns... 10 syns a bliming packet!!!!

Well beggar that I'm not spending that much on me dinner or lunch, they can get stuffed!! :rotfl: So back to unsure what to have for dinner. Might go and buy the slimming friendly versions to make the sauce from scratch from sainsburys, although its a bit of a trek. Oh well, at least I found out before I'd made it!

I've only just been out to the co-op as well :o "for something nice" seeing as i'm all star-week-ey and cramps are good and proper going for it. Was determined it would be SW friendly. And it is. Sort of. A curley wurley for tonight (are they still 6 syns?) and a magical elf for now (3.5). A packet of alpen light fudge bars, and nothing else... oh yeah, and the other 23 curley wurleys that were keeping that one company  I'm not joking either. The packets of 8 were reduced to 50p, so I got 3 packets :o I wasn't craving chocolate at all this shopping trip, honest :p

Now then, what do I do with my 23 curley wurleys that I don't intend to eat today? I need some sort of time-release safe that will only dispense one a day! :o

sorry to hear that your little ones (daughter and nephew) have been ill, hopefully they are on the mend now and yes I agree they love keeping us on out toes.

My DD wasn't ill, just illustrating how blooming extreme she can be. Thanks anyway though:A She hasn't been ill for a month or so now ***touch wood!***

Been good today, had the usual for breakfast and lunch. Used both Bs and 1 A so far. Have also had 7 syns.

Will have HM savoury rice and falafel for dinner, its a really nice combo:D
2 or 3 syns for the falafel, depends how many i have. And will have a kitkat later. Will either have 14.5 or 15.5 syns depending on my dinner.

On the syns debate, i actually try and have my full 15 every day, as i dont have masses to lose i figure if i plateau then i have wiggle room and can reduce my syns and try and get moving again. My theory anyway, probably nonsense. Plus i like my naughty stuff, it means i dont feel deprived;)

  • Mrs Mc - Thank you so much for your lovely slow cooked chinese pork recipe, posted ages ago. I made it on Friday and had the leftovers for Saturday lunch. It was sooooo good I made it with turkey pieces for some friends on Saturday evening - they loved it too!

The only thing I don't have is dry sherry, so I put some Port in the pork one, it was fine. For the turkey version I had a brainwave and used some Ginger Wine, that was great too.

I don't have a slow cooker, so just did it in a cassarole on the top of the cooker for about one and a half hours, adding a bit of water when needed. I served it with brown rice mixed with fresh pineapple, chilli and some chopped omlette. All very yummy.

I hope to try the ox burger recipe soon, it sounds good. :)

Well I need to work out how to stop myself grabbing handful of whatever the kids are eating:cool:

Today has looked like this - EE...
Weetabix (HEb) Milk (HEa) Banana, Clementine
    Grab of crisps (1.5syns)
    Veg soup
    Grab of Weetos(1.5syns)
    clementine
    Chewee bar (4.5syns)
    chicken tikka masala and rice.
    Cementine
    1 piece of mint aero(1.5syns)

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Hi everyone, I've really fallen off the waggon this weekend (and I haven't been on the bloody thing that long!) Boyfriend decided to take me out for lunch which consisted of Steak and Wine (no desert though!) and then I was tempted by an eggnogg latte from starbucks (how many syns in one of those? I cant resist them at this time of the year!) After that I was quite good until last night coming home from a long day at work and my hands decided to play up. Cue staying up till 4 this morning snacking on cheese and ham because I couldn't sleep. Today has been slightly better:

    B - 2 Wheatabix with milk, nana
    L - HM Pea soup
D - Shepherds Pie with carrot and swede mash, loads of veg
    S - Mullerlight

Good luck to everyone weighing in today!
