    Evening all,

Not had chance to pop on all weekend, been a bit hectic. My weekend has been a total write off not on plan at all. Firstly i forgot to wi on friday (doh!) and it was my ds 4th birthday lots of yummy cake, sweets and party food. Non of which was sw friendly but very yummy. Mind i've been running round like a headless chicken all wk end too and was dancing like a maniac to bob the builder with the lo's so plenty of body magic going on:D. So i'll be back on plan tomoro and i'm just gonna assume all the party food and cake i scoffed will have been my full weeks quota of syns so i'm gonna do my best this week to have as few syns as possible ready for my next wi.
I'm planning a green day tomoro which i hope will turn out something like this...
B - bran flakes (heb and half hea)
L - spaghetti in tom sauce and cheese (1/2 hea)
    T - smash pizza (hea)
    S - alpen light x2 (heb)
I have no fruit in so gonna make a pan of soup to get my five a day in, plus veg topping on pizza.

Morrisons is quite a trail for me too :o so I only go once a flood if I know there are really good offers on. Usually a clue they may have messed with the syns is when the packaging changes.....so its wise to check if you notice anything different ;)

Our group is having a sausage tasting session this week with a trader that does (I believe) syn-free sausges. I think they're chicken with various herbs additives. I'll let you know what they're like later in the week.

Take It Easy - it's not often I submit to 'medicines' but I've had a hell of a cold & chest infection which started with a burning sore throat - Boots gave me Dequacain lozenges (over the counter not on the shelf) and even the nurse I saw subsequently for antibiotics said 'aren't they fab?' - Dequacain is anaesthetic and they do numb your whole mouth, but the effects last ages even after you've finished the lozenge! :D

Two more weeks & we should be moved in so I can start going to SW classes again (I'm not trying very hard at the mo :o ) - I hope the consultant is nice! My local one here started off all enthusiastic, but has soooo many members in three consequetive classes she couldn't have cared less once I hit a plateau

The battery has gone in my scales so I dread to think how much weightg I've put on!

Are they Joe's? I think they are stll syn-free but you have to order on-line.
  • Joe's is syn free but it can work out expensive to order on your own. Might be worth getting a big order from everyone at your group? my consultant has been doing orders for everyone to make it cheaper.

  • Hi all, hope you're all well.

Had a thoughtful evening. I'm a horse lover, and not so long ago gave up my ride (long story, cow of a woman involved) and have since joined SW and realised just how badly overweight I was, so am not going to ride again until i've shifted several stones. Been reading a horse forum about horse's weight carrying abilities and how "disgusting" overweight people look on horses which aren't built strongly enough to carry their weight - clearly the complainers were 8 stone and would fly away in a breeze, but it did make me all sad and wistful because I miss riding and it seems like its going to be aaaaaages before I feel I am light enough to ride a horse again - at least 2 1/2 stone away, and ideally 4. :(

Anyway, apart from that downer today has been good. I have had:

    2 bananas for brekkie
Veg soup for lunch, followed by some sausage and bean casserole (4)
Roast for dinner! Mixed meat (we get the carvery leftovers at work!) and cabbage and carrots and butternut squash and a drizzle of gravy (note I even avoided the roasties today!) so say 3 syns for gravy?
and on the way home I had to fill up with petrol and was going to buy a freddo when I saw this...

Thorntons whipped fudge bar, with caramel and coated in milk chocolate.

Just looked it up on syns online. 9 1/2 syns.

    Drool. Drool. Drool.

So a 16 1/2 syn day for me, but soooooo worth it! And I don't even feel guilty, because I was on 11 syns yesterday :T

(Does anyone else usually go up to their full 15 syns a day? :o)
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels

Just popped in here to say to Skintslimmer not to listen to that rubbish on the horsey forum. Think about your love of riding, your kindness to horses (and they know it), the strength in horses anyway!! Goodness - google images of Shetland ponies and see if you find any of the old ones when the men in Shetland used to ride them on crofts and farms! (not advocating that adults go about on Shetlands though!)
Please don't be put off by some insensitive people
