Our group are I gather having 'scan bran challenge' this week. Did not go last week so dont know much but you have to make a recipe using scan bran in it low syns.

Now I cant stand the things and have not got a clue how to make a vegan dish with them in so am thinking of going just to get weighed - mind you if we get snow/the -3 degrees Thursday night I wont even go to weight in! Just getting over a chest infection so don ont want to walk a mile each way in the cold!

Even my pet rabbit who loves stale bread wont eat scan bran:rotfl:

Lost 4.5lbs this week - makes up for a gain of 2 last week :D

Must have lost at least a pound getting up in the freezing cold this morning to relight the central heating pilot light that had blown out overnight...brrrrr!

Morning all, I've pretty much stuck to plan all weekend but did have more syns than I really like to. I'm going to try to keep them lower the next couple of days before WI to make it up. Hoping to get a walk tonight, had planned to go yesterday but the weather was too miserable!! I'm green again today:

Brekkie - half a banana, rice, yogurt, apple, mixed berries
Lunch - confused speed soup (2), leftover pork (HEB), leftover sw roast potatoes, cherry toms, cucumber, jelly (0.5), melon
Tea - tomato rissotto, monkfish (HEB), roasted veggies
    Snacks - apple and pear
HEA - milk in cups of tea.

Plenty of super frees and speed foods in there so will hopefully help get some weight shifting!!

Morning all and well done on the latest losses everyone :j

Well folks its another really cold and crisp -but DRY day here -lets see if it lasts,,they have given out a warning of snow for us later this week so lets see if it happens winter_brr.gif

Hubby is on duty on Thursday so he will be out all day -but then gets Friday off in lieu... so I need to tweak my meal plan as I will only be feeding ME on thursdaytongue.gif

SO then -today Im going green and its hopefully going to look like this:-
    • lemon in warm water
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 28g oats (B) + 1 ryvita**
    • banana
    • 12 speed soup
    • activia (2.5)
    • cherries, raspberries, strawberries
    • orange
    • apple
    • special fried rice:-
    • 28g chorizo (4)
    • onions
    • peppers
    • mushrooms
    • egg
    • rice
    • peas
    • sweetcorn
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • fibre plus bar (B)
    • activia (2.5)
so thats 2A+Bs and 9syns used up -heck knows where Im going to squidge in more syns confused.gif -no doubt I will end up adding another activia wink.gif I can always make room for one of them giggle.gif
I need to get some time in on the wii later .... must keep up the exercise ..don't want to look like a deflated balloon when Im done do it tongue.gif
Skintslimmer -my mission this week is to try and eat as close to 15syns a day as I can (I don't carry them over though) -I seem to struggle to get close apart from an occasional day -but I have just realised that in future if Im low on what I have used I will "buy" more semi skimmed with it.. I can get through loads of milk and 500ml doesn't always cover it :p

Right I will get off for now... have a great day everyone...

Hi Skintcatt, nice to see you:D Where are you moving to?

Mrs M - Can I just be nosey and ask your reason for actively upping your syns?

I put on 1lb today, was to be expected really after all the birthday cake earlier in the week, plus the few days I went over syns:o

    xx

Just popped in here to say to Skintslimmer not to listen to that rubbish on the horsey forum. Think about your love of riding, your kindness to horses (and they know it), the strength in horses anyway!! Goodness - google images of Shetland ponies and see if you find any of the old ones when the men in Shetland used to ride them on crofts and farms! (not advocating that adults go about on Shetlands though!)
Please don't be put off by some insensitive people
    W

Thank you. I actually agree with the general gist of what most of them were saying in all fairness - that its never nice to see someone riding a horse who is clearly too heavy for that particular horse. Its my passion for them which is the reason why I won't be getting on one again until I am lighter because I don't feel my weight in the saddle is fair on any horse right now.

Part of my equine degree at the moment is looking into pressure in the saddle and what effect that has on the horse's backs - would like to hope that nowadays that we like to have our horses living for longer, we now know better than to have grown men riding shetlands ;)

At least I still have plenty of horsey contact so am keeping up the smell of mud and poo, hay in my windswept hair etc etc that makes me resemble a haystack :rotfl:And I reckon mucking out is better than a session in the gym any day ;)

I am LOVING having chocolate every day guilt free (okay, confession I did feel guilty going over 15 syns the other day :o). I am aiming for a mars bar at 14 syns tonight, so will keep the rest of the say syn free if at all poss:

B: 2 boiled eggs. I need to go shopping :o will have 2 bananas at various points this morning.

L: pasta & houmus (b) ooh, inspiration moment as I type, in that I've got no meat in, so I'll make it a green day not EE, which means 2 extra healthy extras to play with :T Not that I have any hifi or cereal in the house. Hmm.

Tea will be vege chilli (tin of beans, tin of tomatoes, tin of red kidney beans, some chilli powder and served with some brown rice).

I will also make ahead for tomorrow a yummy sounding potato-cheesy thingumy:
Sliced boiled potatoes, layered with slices of onion in cheese sauce (7 syns for the lazy packet variety) with a healthy extra of cheese on top. I'm hoping this will be okay cold to take into college for lunch tomorrow.
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels

    Hi Redmel....

Im trying to up my syns as I can quite easily hardly use any as I naturaly choose fruit to snack on and have cut out most "snacky" stuff . I still want to lose about 4st and I know that if I don't eat my syns now-then when things slow down I will struggle to have anywhere I can cut back ;) I figure that if I eat more syns now then I can reduce them down as my weight gets less, oooohhh plus I like to keep my body guessing..so it doesn't get used to the same things all the time -thats why I eat so varied too:D.. ooohh and Im trying to up my exercise too so my body will hopefully need more to run on .
Heck it might not make a difference -but we can but try :p

    Morning all

On the subject of syn usage......

Ive always gone with using 10 syns (mainly as when I restarted they were plugging EE and advising to go with 10) and I always managed to use my 10 up on my regular choccie treats every evening.

But Ive noticed since doing mainly green days Im just too stuffed by the end of the day and Im struggling to use my syns at the mo :o not great I know as im goinna struggle when I get near target to cut back on things to shift the weight :( Soooooo Im gonna have to start making sure I start using some up maybe in my cooking- or make sure I force a bit of choccie down when the soaps are on like I always used to on EE (oh the torture:rotfl:)
