    Good afternoon,

Just been to Waitrose and they have Kellogs Fibre Plus bars as 2 for £2! That is a good price??

Got myself some spinach falafel that i want to try but just put it through syn calculator and it is 5.5 syns for 2 pieces so might give it a miss, can have 5 of the cauldron pieces for that! Will give it to hubby:D

Also bought Ryvita wholegrain crackerbread for a change and they are yummy, i know a lot of people don't like them but i just ate one dry to try it and think they are nice. But then i'll happily munch dry all bran:p

    So far:

    First thing - coffee
Breakfast at uni - 2 x alpen light(B), FF peach activia (0.5), nana
Snack - big bag of grapes
    Lunch HM lentil soup, WM roll(B), 10g cheese(part A), ham (0.5), pickle(0.5)
    Snack - coffee, ryvita(1)

Not sure what i'll have for dinner, maybe pasta?? Have used both B and 1 and a bit A, also used 2.5 syns.

OK, may I present my @rse for a kicking please??

I was on a course with work today - at a hotel. Well, 2 x Alpen in the car on the way there (not bad....) and then they had the audacity to put danish pastries out for coffee and the pesky fairies made me eat one (only a mini one mind...) then there was lunch, a beef bourgunion type dish with rice and veggies (OK me thinks) then the bloody pesky fairies pushed a slice of cheescake and cream down my neck.... Then as if to add insult to injury, warm choc brownie muffins for afternoon coffee. Balls.

And tomorrow, friends and us (DH and I) have decided to have a curry night (with added alcohol) for Children in Need. NO more syns this week for me. Why oh why do I have the will power of a gnat???

Lunch: salad, jacket potato, baked beans

Tea: Beef casserole = beef (HEB) carrots, onions, peppers, stock cube, herbs potato wedges
life kinda got in the way and in reality lunch ended up being
    muller apple banana

and tea ended up being jacket potato, butter (2)cheese HEA and salad

No, that's Ok - you can have cheese as a HEB if you're on a Green day. Works out quite well - except you should probably have had more food for lunch. But you know that :D

My dinner was going to be wedges, mushy peas and gravy but it's morphed into chicken, SW roasties, cabbage, veggies and gravy. What can I say....I'm hungry :rotfl:
  • Sorry to whinge here but there's no-one else to listen...

Had a bloody awful day. Toddler decided to cling to me for two and a half hours this morning at playgroup. All previous gains in behaviour seem to have disappeared. He's not eaten anything, thrown stuff all over, broken his toy drum and his toy kettle. Forced me to climb all round the back of the shed to retrieve his wellies and has now fallen asleep on the sofa which means we'll be up at 10pm listening to him chatter and generally not going to sleep. I've just watched a tv show that confirmed that I was crap at breastfeeding and he was probably starving hungry instead of colicky which would explain why he was so skinny and everyone was worried.
I REALLY want a glass of wine and to eat all the mince pies in the packet on the bread bin because there is no other reward available to me. We can't go out because there is no-one to babysit, I haven't exercised in months because he doesn't sleep and I am constantly playing catch up with the housework and I can count on one hand the number of proper nights sleep I've had since 28 July 2008.
Still - babies are dying in Haiti from Cholera and I shall "keep calm and carry on".

    So far today - Green

    30g oats HEB
Stewed plums in syrup HEB plus some syns 2?
    Milk HEA

    2 slices of bread - 8S
    Teaspoon of butter - 3.5S
    30g cheese HEA
    Baked beans
    Jacket potato
    Cottage cheese

    Raisins 1oz 4S
    Clementine

In the pot is Mrs Macawbers spanish chicken but it's not cooked yet. Which is 2.5.

I'm off to stare at the wine bottle until my husband comes home.

  • Oh Radiohelen, <<hugs>> :(

Dizzy - I'm with MrsM that rubbish though the news is, at least you'll be well for mexico. As for the 3 legs thing, I was going to correct it by saying I'm not into fruit, then i realised that veg is my MrsM's fruit, so I'm back to 3 legs again! :rotfl:
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels
  • OH just got made redundant again :( Which means budget is going to be majorly stretched. I'm just hoping I can budget enough to carry on with SW and all the fruit n veg n fat free yog (I can't have mullers, which are the ones always on offer, cus of the gelatine... so just the expensive ones!!)

I find the fat free activia are not too expensive. Sainsburys had 6 for £2 recently, and morrisons had 5 for £1 but i think that may be finished. I don't eat muller light either for the same reason as you. Plus i don't think they taste very nice anyway.

Oh poor you :grouphug: - you are being very hard on yourself! You breastfed him and that's the best thing that you could have done for him - colic happens whether breast or bottle and I'm sure you didn't starve him! My first son was very demanding on time (and patience!) and at 27 he still thinks that he is the very centre of the world and the rest of us are just bit players! :rotfl:
As for the exercise, if you're running round after him and playing catch up with the housework you're probably using far more calories than if you were powerwalking the streets!
Hide the mince pies - but reward yourself with a nice calming glass of wine when hubby gets home! And don't be so cruel to yourself - you are doing a great job! :A
And when it's all getting on top of you, remember we're here to listen and sympathise!

    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!
