Hello all
I have been a little bit naughty all week (*) but somehow the SW God has smiled on me and I lost 1/2 a pound!! Now, I must be good in order to keep this good loss up. In 6lb more I have lost my stone...... Do-able by X-mas?? I hope so!!! I feel better already - and am so glad that on this journey of SW (I think I m on my 4th"!!) I have found you lot of lovelies to spend time with and whinge to etc etc etc:j
So, will just have a quick spoonful of ice cream to complete naughtiness and will then be back on the wagon properly. Will someone butt kick if I waiver?? Ta in advance (Dizzy, be careful if you are butt kicking - I don't want you to fall over!! LOL:rotfl:)
Well, these books ain't going to mark themselves!!

Good evening ladies...
Well -can I have a corner all on my own as my fave thing is fruit- hubby reckons he knows as soon as I get in the supermarket if its going to be a happy shop or a grumpy one
-its determined by the selection of fruit they have;)...apparently I get all exciteable whilst merrily throwing fruit into the trolley :rotfl:.... tonights haul consisted of:-
- 2kg apples
- 1.5kg plums
- 2kg splatsumas
- 2kg clementines
- 8 navels
- a hand of bananas
- and a pomegranite
and its all mine as hubby doesn't eat fruit . Im still a chocolate, biccie, cake, bread, takeaway, crisp free zone ..and I think its safe to say that after 30 weeks Im not likely to bother with them again
OOOhhh Im trying a new dish tomorrow "Goan pork curry" everything is marinating in the fridge for the night -so pinkies crossed its nice (tis a risk as Im not a curry fan).. I will pass the recipe on if its a good one.
Well done on the losses again ladies..
Sleep well all and keep up the great work...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Evening all,
alis - well done on your loss!
Well, I survived the gym, but I'm really tired now *yawns*. OMG I have really lost the fitness I had a couple or so years back. Never mind, I'll just have to build it back up again. I didn't push myself too much, well I couldn't! Tried to do what i thought was a decent workout - I thought gasping for breath was a good sign - and I'll make a note here of what I did, so I can compare it in the weeks to come, and hopefully I'll be doing a lot more:
Cardio (10 min sessions each):
Bike - 3.62km,
Rower - 1775m
Eliptical - 1.1k (almost died doing that one)
Treadmill - 0.81k
I then did half an hour doing weights machines (10 reps x 3):
Lat Pulldown - 35kg
Shoulder Press - 15kg
Chest press - 15kg
Seated Row - 20kg
Leg extension - 45kg
Leg Adductor/Abductor - 105kg/95kg
..... and then I staggered into the shower.
I'm so glad I decided to use the slow cooker for the 1st time today, because I did feel a bit tired out after I got home, and desperately needed a nice cuppa. As I sat down to eat my chicken casserole and baked spud, OH commented that he couldn't quite believe that I could be on a diet to lose weight with what was on my plate. Don't you just love SW?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I'm also a foot in each corner type, and unless its an amazing sounding tripple chocolate cheesecake will have cheese and biccies for dessert too. In fact, I spent the time waiting for class to start tonigth dreaming up ways of having a cheeseboard within plan... still thinking on that one!
1.5lbs on. Second week in a row, dammit. Consultant was nice, but neither of us could really pinpoint how to sort me outI am doing a food diary this week, and planning at least 1 day in advance, and saving syns and/or healthy extra for chocolate fix in the evenings.
tomorrow will look like this:
Melon and grapes for brekkie
tuna pasta bake (3.5 syns for 1/2 a colemans sachet, which I was told is worth it but I don't think it looks like it will be!)
assorted fizzy diet drinks
veg cruidites and houmus (b)
need to then grab something for tea from the local sainsburys or canteen - I reckon sainsburys will be safer
Will have a as milk in coffees throughout the day... leaving me up to 12.5 syns for a beautiful chocolate bar at bedtime! Any suggestions? How many syns is a mars bar these days?Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

as a gym instructor can i respectfully request that you speak to one of the trainers in the gym about a program ? basically because there is a better way of doing a workout to enhance fat burn than you are doing here - id suggest some kind of interval based workout or at least warm up then strength machines then cardio

hi everyone
just wondering if anyone else eats porridge as a HEB - do they find 28g is enough ????
i measured it all out today and cooked it but when i saw how small it was i gave it to my daughter and had weetabix instead :rotfl:
even with a chopped banana that wouldn't fill me up
(and to think i used to add sultanas and chopped dried apricots to that too and thought it was healthy )0 -

I'm thinking of making something from the new Extra Easy book, in fact lots of those recipes sound good (and not too wet! :rotfl:)
I tried to buy that book tonight but will have to wait 'til it comes in next week. Recipes looked delicious and loads are completely syn free:) It's the same with taster sessions at my group too. I often think why 'waste' syns (IMO) just to have a bit of cake. Each to his own, but we aliens must stick together!Skintslimmer wrote: »

Why don't you just use passata with a few herbs and garlic thrown in?
:jWI tonight and I'm delighted to say I lost 1.5lbs. I was convinced my past (holiday that is) was going to catch up with me. I've only got 1lb to go to reach my first stone so hoping for that this coming week. I've a lunch out coming up on Sunday but Im hoping that might be fairly low syn and except for that it's going to be plan, plan, plan!0 -
god Id love to go out for meals with you Blackberry....you could eat the starters - and I'd just eat the puds
(when Im at target of course :A:rotfl:)
And I'll come along and just have the main and alcohol.:beer:Skintslimmer wrote: »I'm also a foot in each corner type, and unless its an amazing sounding tripple chocolate cheesecake will have cheese and biccies for dessert too. Pasta Bake to make it less syns I use the homepride jars and also add a carton of passata mixed together then I freeze half before using. I use the jars which are 25.5 syns for a jar mixed up with passata, and some peppers/onions thrown in if I have them 1/2 of this mix easily makes 12 portions so around 2 syns per portion and also means I have something easy to throw on pasta midweek. Great for lunches for me and kids.
Everybody seems either totally committed or a little wobbly at the moment, I guess it is the time of year with all the media hype to eat and drink starting and the cold weather. I've said earlier on in thread I have come to the decision to eat on plan when I can and enjoy the rest of the year, if I don't put any on before Jan 04 then I will be happy with the 13.5lb I have lost so far - this is almost 7 bags of sugar:eek: It is how it works for you that is important.
I have had an awful day today food wise but great fun, left the house at 4.20 am and got home 9.30 - stupid work thing, and that balances it for me, no guilt just a long term aim to lose another 2.5 stone by this time next year, and eat healthier in general. My 83 year old ex father in-law is taking me and my girls to the airport on Friday, at 6 am, we are off to Egypt, he has given the girls £20 each spending money, and insisted that I have £10 as well for a glass of wine or two to enjoy myself. This from a man of 83, who has 6 sugars in coffee, eats butter on toast thicker than bread and has a large (and I mean large ) glass of brandy every night - had 2 days off sick from work in 50 years and says a little bit of what you fancy does you good, and if it doesn't always remember you're a long time dead. Until around 13 years ago he used to ride his pushbike 50-60 miles twice a week, he absolutely adores his grandchildren, wife etc but enjoys his life. When I get on that plane Friday, slimming world, syns, social work will not be in my head and I will feel no guilt or responsibility until I return.
I suppose what I am saying is it is important to remember that our life is not just all about what we eat, it is for living and loving and sharing and what we weigh or enjoying ourselves is not the be and and end all, we have should not feel guilty about having a chocolate, but have the confidence to go back to healthy eating and stick to plan next day.
SW is a great way of eating and I think someone ought to shove it up Jamie Olivers' nose - this is what the kids need - not the menus in school he has been so famous for wrecking.
Anyhow I'm rambling, tired, worn out and ready for bed. I'll have a good red tomorrow, hope to get to a WI tomorrow and hope you understood what I meant.
Best wishes to all, you are all doing great.:DMama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Morning all, I'm feeling rather disappointed. WI last night and I put on 2lb. I was good all week except for 1 bad meal at Pizza hut and I walked the best part of 20 miles between Mon and Tues this week. I'd normally only put that much on if I'd been off plan all week!!!! I did have bread (as my HEB) a few times though and I know it doesn't really agree with me so I'm going to have a bread free week this week and see what happens.
OH is going to help me try to get more exercise again this week too. I'm going green today:
Brekkie - banana and porridge (HEA&B)
Snack - apple and pear
Lunch - HM soup, 4 cracker bread (4), 2 laughing cow (Part HEA), yogurt, mixed berries
Tea - cod and chorizo stew (HEB & a few sysns for the chorize, need to check), mash, veggies.0
