I know quoting my own post is bad form :rotfl:but I just wanted to bring it up to date.

I couldn't be bothered to make the bubble and squeak burgers - by the time I got in I was so hungry that the l/o veggies just got microwaved, with some more frozen veggies to go with the lamb chops. Delicious!

I've just opened a bottle of red wine and am having a small glass. Instead of measuring out a certain amount I've decided to deduct the whole 25 syns at once from my total - then I can drink the rest of the wine sometime this week without counting it. I may only be fooling myself here - but having to measure out wine takes all the fun out of it :D

So - syns remaining this week 63/105

What an excellent idea with the wine:D
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

    Evening gang,

Clandestine, I had seen some of the bad reviews about them. Even the consultant at SW said her 1st one went up in smoke, but she said that the fault in them had now been resolved, and she's bought a new one and had it 2 years without any problems. I agree they are very expensive, about £160 in Argos!!! I decided to go for a 6.5l slow cooker for £19.99 today instead!

I've had a good EE day today.

B - porridge [HEB], banana and cinnamon
L - Egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomato & beans
D - Braised beef casserole, with carrots, butternut squash, onions & potatoes, gravy granules (1 syn)

There's enough of the casserole left for lunch tomorrow, although there's little beef left in it, but the sauce and veggies are just so scrummy, it won't matter anyway.

I bought the biggest slow cooker I could find, and was impressed with the price. I've got a large pack of lamb stew cuts to put in there later in the week, I thought I could start planning some meals. I have heard you could cook a whole roasting joint in there. Does anyone have any great SW slow cooker recipes, or do they do their own recipe book I can get at meetings?

I've got an evening reading back issues of SW mags that I picked up for 25p each last night. I love reading the stories of others' experiences, and the pictures on their facebook page is great to see lots of before and after pictures.

Good luck to anyone weighing in.

I was thinking of getting one of them, then I started to read too many reports of them going up in flames/melting/ceasing to work with a huge bang etc after 12 months or so  It seems there was a warning on Watchdog about them as well, I`m just not happy paying over £100 on something that will go bang as soon as it`s out of it`s warranty :( Read the reviews on Amazon about them, quite scary

I was bought one today as a gift and the model is FZ700016 so hopefully it may of had some modifications!! (the probs may be down to older models ** Fingers crossed **)

  • I lost another lb today - I only have 3lbs to target, and as the last few weeks have slowed down to 1/2 and 1 lb asked to do success express this coming week to try shift last bit and refocus myself as got a bit lazy. However my consultant gave me details about a program called "Fast Forward" - said it is very strict and has a set menu you pick from and have 18 points for the whole day - with each meal taking a couple, I have been doing extra easy. I am going to try it as I have a quiet week ahead with no plans at weekend so no drink fairies to watch for - trying to get to target before xmas events start so can relax a bit - has anyone else done this new express plan?!? Or is it old and they are reviving it? x

Well done scarymalary to you and your son you must be really proud of each other. And well done to all the other losers

I know I shouldn't have but I weighed again today and I have lost 3lbs I think I might need some new scales lol.

    My food for today

B pear apple satsuma and muller light and alpen light

L Feta cheese salad - lettuce tomato pepper radish onions cucumber, muller light, kiwi and satsuma

D HM Spag bol with lots of veg in

Snacks alpen light banana and as usual a curly wurly

Also another exercise routine on Wii active and lots of water
  • With regards to take-away, I've just realised I'll happily spend £12 on a curry, rice, bhajis and naan (needed to be that much to get it delivered) yet I begrudge spending that much on a home-made meal!! For that price I could make tonnes of the stuff. It's silly isn't it!!

Has anyone got a basic recipe I could please steal cheese and broccoli soup and butternut squash soup?? Thanks!
