hi all
i was really hoping for 2lb off this week so i wouldn't have to pay any more , unfortunately 1lb on and i don't really know why
the only thing i have done different is to have breakfast rice with berries every day for breakfast and i have kept to 10 syns a day instead of up to 15.
oh and i have been having 3 bananas most days which can't have helped.
so close to target yet feel so far
sorry to come on and moan again
well done to all who have lost , some great ones this week !
((hugs)) I know how much you were hoping for that loss this week. I can only agree that it most likely was the bananas, I also find I gain if I eat loads of them:( Have you been making sure you are drinking plenty, and try to eat plenty of speed foods:)sarymclary wrote: »Evening gang,
Clandestine, I had seen some of the bad reviews about them. Even the consultant at SW said her 1st one went up in smoke, but she said that the fault in them had now been resolved, and she's bought a new one and had it 2 years without any problems. I agree they are very expensive, about £160 in Argos!!! I decided to go for a 6.5l slow cooker for £19.99 today instead!
I've had a good EE day today.
B - porridge [HEB], banana and cinnamon
L - Egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomato & beans
D - Braised beef casserole, with carrots, butternut squash, onions & potatoes, gravy granules (1 syn)
There's enough of the casserole left for lunch tomorrow, although there's little beef left in it, but the sauce and veggies are just so scrummy, it won't matter anyway.
I bought the biggest slow cooker I could find, and was impressed with the price. I've got a large pack of lamb stew cuts to put in there later in the week, I thought I could start planning some meals. I have heard you could cook a whole roasting joint in there. Does anyone have any great SW slow cooker recipes, or do they do their own recipe book I can get at meetings?
I've got an evening reading back issues of SW mags that I picked up for 25p each last night. I love reading the stories of others' experiences, and the pictures on their facebook page is great to see lots of before and after pictures.
Good luck to anyone weighing in.
I love my slow cooker, unfortuanately I haven't used it much in over a year...I dug it out for Mrs M's chinese pork, and the also did the beef stifado in it too, I am definitely going to start using it more now it is winter;)
I usually do a lovely minted lamb, using cheap lamb cuts, lamb stock cubes and loads of dried mint... I usually chuck in some veggies too and serve it with mash, it is fantastic:)
I am pining after an actifry, but was put off by the bad reviews and, tbh now I would be willing to risk one, I can't afford one:( Maybe one day I will get one.
And fantastic losses for you and your son:jUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Dizzy, I also have a hiatus hernia, I find bread really aggravates mine, and I used to be on Lansoprazole before I was pregnant with ds3....I definitely find that losing weight helps since I am almost 2st lighter than before I fell pregnant with him, I haven't had to go back on the Lansoprazole and am able to avoid 'most' things that irritate it:( If I gain weight, even 1/2 stone I can tell it starts to play up a little bit more...The surgery sounds terrible so I doubt I would ever go in for that...I will definitely try to keep mine at bay with diet/weight control and avoiding triggers:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Hi girls, I'm having a bit of a panic.
I ate out at someones house tonight and the sausages were co-op cumberland full fat, 8 in a pack.
I have no idea of the syns. Please could someone check the directory for me as i've been almost 100% for over 5 weeks and feel gutted i might have blown my day.
(I know i shouldnt beat myself up for 1 day but i think the panic is through not knowing the syns)
Hope everyone is having a good day.

Morning everyone.
Great losses folks, excellent news :T:T:T:T
Hugs for those with blips as I am sure you will come back with avengence.
I am having a really up and down week... it started with overeating M&S chocolate biscuits and is ending up with not eating much. It will affect my WI I know. I think I will manage 0.5 or even 1lb loss if so I will have been let off lightly if that is the case come Friday.
Food is being delivered today so at least I will be able to make SW friendly meals as we haven't had much in the past couple of days.
Today (green I think)
B -:( only coffee.
L - SW carbonara without the ham so fully green (F)
D - Veggie Curry and rice or SW chips (F)
Snx - Treat size choc (4) 4 ryvita (B) cheese (A)
On the up side, I was prancing around the spare bedroom in my underwear deciding what to wear yesterday and OH came in and said 'you are looking much thinner' so that was nice to hear and he has been making fun of me because my comfy around the house joggers are hanging off me. I'm not buying new ones yet as I like the feeling of them being big as when I foirst bought them they were skin tight. So it is a reminder of what I have achieved so far.
Oooo door bell.. food here
