Scarymclary.. sounds like you have a lovely lad :j
I make quite a lot of chinese recipes -I don't like take away ones because the msg makes me sooo thirsty for days after (not to mention the syns ;))
I don't know if you have tried it yet but I posted a slowcooker recipe for chinese pork that is divine nomnomnom and a couple of marinates for stir-fries so you can still have your "take away" and save your syns for something else :p

    Afternoon All

Well done you Big set of LOOOOOOSERS :j:j:j

    Sarymclary & son what a fab 1st week you've had eh :D

Calamity & Billie well done :T keep up the good work

Hugs to those who had a gain :o it happens to the best of us .....and we usually know why

mummyof5 I would say if you know you've been on plan 100% then the 3 nanas a day are def to blame for stuffing things up for you :( I never seem to do very well when I have more than a couple a week ( a few people at class say the same thing too) my losses slow or even get gains if I have too many - Ive noticed this more since my tum has been playing up and ive struggled finding foods to eat at times.

Another green day for me today

    Brekki pineapple & rasbs

Lunch Dyno Rod soup & satsumas (followed by gaviscon :()

Tea ?? not sure will see how my tum feels later - not sure if it was the pineapple this morn that it didnt like - but its sure letting me know about it :(

off to tackle mount ironing basket now  all things stripey can go to the bottom......were not up to being sick with a hurty tum :o
  • didn't do too well at weigh in last thursday and I stayed the same :( I'd been really good that week too which is annoying, but I'm going to stick at it.

    Today's menu:
    B - 2 x weetabix (HEB), soya milk (HEA), honey (2)
S - chopped apple, plum, ff soya yogurt, 6x tinned prunes (3)
    L - 1 x brown toast (HEB), 1 x dairylea (1.5), tin of veggie ravioli (2), shape zero yogurt
D - green pepper and black bean quorn stir fry and maybe a couple of mini spring rolls (2 each)

I'm also going to make a curried sweet potato and lentil soup tonight which will do for lunch tomorrow.

So, that's 8.5 + spring rolls. How does that look?

The other top tip from the consultant this week was, if you can afford it, invest in a Tefal Actifry. I know someone on another losing weight thread on MSE who swears by his, and it has helped him to lose more than 170lbs this year alone!

I was thinking of getting one of them, then I started to read too many reports of them going up in flames/melting/ceasing to work with a huge bang etc after 12 months or so  It seems there was a warning on Watchdog about them as well, I`m just not happy paying over £100 on something that will go bang as soon as it`s out of it`s warranty :( Read the reviews on Amazon about them, quite scary
  • well done to all those who've lost hugs to those who've sts or had an ickle gain, remember sometimes you've gotta reverse to get where you need to be :D

mmmmmmmmm just tried tucking into my cottage cheese with pineapple and discovered it was fizzing in my mouth , then decided to check the date and it's two days out of date !!!!!!!!!!! bl**** stoopid me for not checking before I took it today, now I'm hungry, I may have to eat a pencil rather than go to the vending machine that is restocked by fairies, wonder who these fairies work for cos I wanna go shout at them.

may have to leave work early and raid a fruit shop that way I'll drive past all the takeaway shops and they should be shut so I won't be tempted to stop and order as much as I can carry
    mmmmmmmmmm sounds like a plan.

Afternoon:D Well done to all our losers:T

Had a good day so far, usual for breakfast and lunch:

    Coffee first thing
2 x alpen light, nana and a peach activia (0.5)
WM roll, 12g cheese, ham (0.5), pickle (0.5), HM lentil soup
just had an apple and will be having quorn bolognaise with pasta and 30g cheese as the rest of my A

Had both B+A and 1.5 syns. Might syn some more cheese to go with dinner and will probably sneak a kitkat in. Was going to have some falafel but hubby ate it all!

  • I've had a poor few days due to not having any food in at all! Been shopping today though, spent £22 and still don't seem to have anything for a meal :'(
All I have is some rice, noodles, diced chicken breasts, pasta, chopped tomatoes and potatoes haha. I have stuff to make a pasta bake and were having a jacket potato and salad for tea tonight.

Bought a few ready meals as I have some shifts at work when I cant be bothered to cook when I get home. Could someone kindly check the syn values for me please?

WW Beef Hotpot and WW Chicken Curry

Seriously need some recipes to go with rice and noodles haha, having a recipe block today.

Whoever asked what blogging is, its sort of like an online diary where you write things about your day, and people can follow and read them when you update. Some are on a specific subject like technology or fashion and some are people's ponderings and such. Some people post their Slimming World journey too, can't think of any specific ones off top of my head but there are some out there :-)

Just having dinner and its yummy!

A few spoonfuls of leftover quorn bolognaise stirred into some pasta, 2 laughing low extra light triangles and 37g cheese melted gently through it, loads of black pepper, nomnomnom.
So i need to add 3 syns to my count so far, 2 for the triangles and 1 for 7g of cheese.
Brings my total to 4.5 today.

has anybody tried 'lescol' cheese (pink wrapper)? Bought a block the other day and it's got a funny oily coating all over it, and white bits?! Not sure if it smells 'off' or not though.

Dont worry that is normal! It is a bit of a acquired taste as it is a very mature cheese -some people hate it but I like it - better than the usual plastic RF cheeses

    Posting from work....shhhhhh!

    Tuesday : EE

Brekkie : All Bran HEB, ML, berries

Lunch : Falafel 3 syns, cous cous, veggies, dressing 1 syn

Dinner : Lamb chops, l/o veggies from last night made into bubble and squeak burgers, gravy 3 syns, mint sauce 1 syn

Snacks : Small banana, 2 apples, 1 satsuma
HEA : Milk in tea through the day

    Syns remaining = 88/105

I know quoting my own post is bad form :rotfl:but I just wanted to bring it up to date.

I couldn't be bothered to make the bubble and squeak burgers - by the time I got in I was so hungry that the l/o veggies just got microwaved, with some more frozen veggies to go with the lamb chops. Delicious!

I've just opened a bottle of red wine and am having a small glass. Instead of measuring out a certain amount I've decided to deduct the whole 25 syns at once from my total - then I can drink the rest of the wine sometime this week without counting it. I may only be fooling myself here - but having to measure out wine takes all the fun out of it :D

So - syns remaining this week 63/105
