go with android or WM6.5 or 7 and u can customise to ur galore! of course there are actual ROM hacks and such but mostly they say u can do whatever u want. Apple say no to anything but how it comes out the box.

    yea great phone...

I've had 5 or 6 iphones, from the 2G to the 4G and none have ever crashed (nor have any belonging to anyone I work with).

However I have had even more android phones (still have one) from the San Fran to the x10 to the Desire and at some time or other every single one has frozen or crashed or force closed at some time.
I still like my android phones, but they arent any more reliable than the iphone, actually the opposite is actually true.

And I'm sorry to say, for you to even contemplate recommending Windows Mobile 6.5 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:shows a serious lack of experience with phones.

    Couldn't agree more! :T

Windows phone 7 seems to be a big improvement, but doesn't multitask very well and doesn't have cut and paste functionality! Sounds like they've been stealing ideas from old iPhones to me ;)

Just a note on Lemmings: I've had HTC phones ever since the original Orange SPV in 2002, and bought the Desire in the first month of launch after auditioning the iPhone 3GS (amongst others), which by all accounts is superior to the iPhone 4. I think we should steer clear of name calling, or the words fashion and victim are bound to come up...:p

whats wrong with 6.5 realistically?! its actually not that bad! and u can do FAR MORE with it then u can any iphone, depending on the handset of course!

all modern phones crash and have to be soft/hard reset after the user has done something, whether its the iphone, blackberry, or a desire. but usually its a simple reset, however the iphone brings everything crashing down. which is why i find it HIGHlarious business people swear by it over a blackberry.

but back to the iphone I had a couple friends on FB saying they have to set their alarm 2 hours ahead since the time change... is the phone seriously that !!!!!!?!

    Are you American?

I know this term of speech still seems to be considered acceptable in the US, but it is considered quite offensive in the UK.

Never once had an iPhone or Blackberry crash on me. So they might 'all crash' but it is a case of some (Android;)) more than others.

Apple are the best in the World at marketing. HTC are very very good at making phones. WebOS is one of the best OS around, iOS is as good as Steve Jobs will let it be. If he doesn't like it you can't have it where as Android will let you do what you want.

iphone 4 hasn't cracked up to what Apple or the fanboys wanted it to be. The Evo 4G in the states has proved a huge success and HTC are doing the same here with the Desire and Desire HD. The HTC Desire HD is far far better than the iphone 4.

Apple should stick to laptops and music players.

Do you have a link? I can only find it on Tesco at £349 plus £20 a month on contract. They don't even list a sim free or PAYG price.

Over 12 months it works out at £589.

Are you serious? You realise WM has true multitasking capabilities? Right now on one of my WM devices, I'm running around 8 apps at the same time, some of which have been open all weekend. Haven't had a crash yet - And this is only a mid-range handset too!

Unlike iPhone, you can customise it to your heart's content. There is a HUGE forum supporting specific models as well as the whole OS.

I think your sweeping statement about WM 6.5 shows a rather large lack of experience of phones yourself - I'm feeling a sense of iPhoneitus here.
