Hi everyone
I'm a newbie to this thread. I've just put my first book for sale on Amazon. If it sells.........I'll make about £3.50.
Question though, I have loads of books that I'd like to sell. Some craft books but mostly fiction paperbacks. I've looked at the going rate and most of them are selling for pennies. Am I better trying to sell them on e-bay or sell them on Amazon and just make money on the postage?Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

You need to be wary with postage rates on Amazon - make sure that the postage will be covered by the allowance as its possible to lose quite a bit of money on posting out heavier/bigger 1p books.
Another possibility is to put them on Greenmetropolis although from what others have said, sales tend to be quite slow.
Haven't sold books on ebay myself so can't advise tho' again you'd need to think about postage costs unless its collection only. Have you thought of car booting, quite a few folk sell their 1p books that way.
Good luck

Thanks teapot2. I might just wait until the weather improves and sell them at a carboot. I'll have a look through what there is and just see if any of them are worth selling on amazon.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

I want to buy a book from a reseller, but it says in their sales line " Brand new & printed specifically for your order", thought that sounded a bit dodgy but noticed that a lot of them say that! They are UK sellers, whats the deal there then?0

It's probably a Print on Demand book. The technology came in a few years ago to make it as cheap (per copy) to print 1 copy of a book as it was to do a print run of a couple of thousand. A lot of small publishers now use this way of printing books, as it means they don't have to keep warehouses full of stock.
