I wonder if there is a curry season on Sky?0

First whinge of the year from me - gone VERY quiet over the last couple of weeks. Not sold anything - had a pending that didn't work out. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come for 2007
How is it for everyone else? Is it just me?

AARRRGGGHHHHH,
my brilliant day has just turned sour, im so upset i could cry
I sold a book to another amazon seller before christmas who contacted me to say that I had sold a book club edition and should have described this in my listing as she wouldnt have paid as much for it. To be honest i didnt even know there was a differenceso i replied saying sorry, genuine mistake either full refund and return the book or partial refund -of her choice- and keep it. Didnt hear back so thought she was happy to keep it and was just being helpful pointing it out,
Today i got left 2 out of 5 for "Book Club edition with brown margins...neither point mentioned in description."
I feel so angry at this, the email she sent about the book club edition didnt mention anything about a brown margin and as i know the book was in brilliant condition i feel this has been thrown in to add weight to the low score. She is also a seller and i feel one of the 'big boys' is trying to teach me a lesson.why are people so damn mean ??

Mishka, that's a rotten thing that she did, the book club thing was an error and you offered a full refund, that was the right thing to do, she should have told you what she'd like to do rather than let rip at a later date and she's no better off financially for having a swipe at you.
Maybe you're right that she was pulling rank but that's not on either, she should be helping a fellow seller not giving them crap feedback, you offered to put it right so that's tough to take0 -

mishka
I suspect she didnt get your email offering the refund.
I would send her another email apologising profusely and pointing out that you did offer her a refund and if she would kindly remove the feedback you would still be willing to issue the refund now. Just be ultra polite. Dont issue the refund until after the feedback is removed.
Make sure you email her direct but also send a second copy through the Amazon messaging system.
PS: I appreciate you wouldnt want to name the buyer here but if you want to PM it to me I'll see if I know her.0 -
Thanks Amazombie, you have a pm,
Apprentice tycoon, thankyou, your kind post took my blood pressure down from boiling to simmering !!

When people complain about a book for whatever reason and then you email them and they then moan that they never got any emails in their feedback - it annoys me. If they have an aggressive spam filter and they have made a complaint, you think they would check their bulk or trash folders for that reason!
That seller was spiteful Mishka. Perhaps she has never made an error in her life???Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Thanks guys, quick update,
I sent an email via Amazon voicing my opinion of the matter (was bit stern but not too rude) and got the reply that she buys a lot of books for her customers and is sick of being sent poor quality books that are badly described, that arrive damaged because they arent sent with inadequate packaging in only a jiffy bag. She claims she did not receive any contact from me and had left me a reasonable time to respond, she made no apologies about not getting my email and put the total blame on me but has requested a full email.
The whole tone of her email is very school-teacher-ish and i feel like ive had a propper scolding !! It doesnt all add up correctly as she had my return address details and could have requested a refund from Amazon but instead she left me feedback ?? Also if there was a fault my end with the email i would have got a failed message so i guess you are right larmy maybe she has a spam filter,
Shall keep you updated !!
EDIT just got reply and nice apology so hugs and kisses all round ! another fine mess you guys got me out of !!

Hi Mishka,
I really feel for you, especially as the same thing has just happened to me and it is terrible timing. I have been selling since march but I was using my friends account as I had trouble opening one under my new address, then finally amazon accepts my address in dec so I open an account in my own name, then I go an get a negative feedback, my very first one, now if it was in my old account it wouldn't have decreased my rating as much but I am at 71% !!!! Ahhhh!! And I really feel it is affecting my sales coz I have only sold a couple of books since christmas, I am so blue about it so I have totally grovelled to the buyer to remove the feedback, fingers crossed he will take pity and remove it, otherwise I am destined to never pay off my huge debts!
Anyway, royal mail didn't deliver the book so he left me a 1/5 feedback without contacting me, so I have a negative, I am £6 out of pocket and I feel sad and guilty and I have no money!!
I need a hug (said in the words of 'donkey' from Shrek).

p.s Mish - I hope yours works out.My darling boy born December 20110
