Greetings fellow Amazonians.
I've been Amazon selling for a few years now and I'm going through a bit of a listings blitz at the moment. I've just found a couple of books where there are no other Marketplace listings and no buyers waiting. It's an annual publication and others from a similar period are in the range of £8-£35. what do you think I should list them at? They are in 'Used - Excellent Condition' but one is covered with book-covering film (urgh!).
Cheers!0 -

Good luck everyone else - you never know you might get a huge rush during the first week of november - I still have presents to buy from the marketplace, just so busy.

Yes I think so- never heard of amazon
- bought something from amazon
- listed a book you have read but dont like
- might just list a few more
- sell 1
- list more
- sell more
- buy books to sell
- never look at cover of book simply at isbn and memorise them/write them down to check later
- get lastest software on mobile to check isbn while your in charity shop/car boot /fete etc etc
- check e-mails even when your not at home
- dream about selling that £100 book you have listed
- eat/sleep/dream about amazon constantly
- start conversations with 'you'll never guess how many books I sold yesterday/last week' etc etc
- buy shed/lock-up/new house just to house book collection

Oh dear, then I am a deep addict...I actually have storage buildings that came with the house that I 'stole' from the children as I insisted they didn't use their dens very much.
Personally I blame AT.

Same here, Soo.
The shed's all mine!!!!
There's a book out called 101 things to do in a shed http://www.amazon.co.uk/101-Things-Shed-Rob-Beattie/dp/0091906113/sr=1-1/qid=1164904714/ref=sr_1_1/202-9632378-2627849?ie=UTF8&s=books
Excuse me? - Surely there's only 1 thing to do in a shed - keep books.
It's nice and cosy in my shed, lino on the floor, no curtains yet, but still quite homely.

Actually I love my shed, I know that is odd but I enjoy going down there and often take down a cup of tea and have a tidy round. We have about 5 outbuildings and this is the only one that is mine and I get so irritated when others store things in it. I have kitchen cupboards all round two sides and one wall of them has been taken over by my OH, and the top of the cupboards along that wall have been taken back by the children, which leaves me a large kitchen table and a wall of cupboards for me.
I don't heat it anymore though as my books have rather spread and I am worried about using a fan heater or halogen heater so near all that paper, I'm also next door to a shed used for spraying models and things, so that is highly flammable. I do have proper lighting and a carpet and I've promised myself a real spring clean in the summer as it is chock full of cobwebs and dead insects as I took over from the children bit by bit and never gave it a good tidy.

Wow! You're so posh! :rotfl:
I have to put on my wellies and slide down to the bottom of the garden clutching my torch in the dead of night to find books.
Your shed sounds like 'heaven', mine's only 8ft x 10ft, no room for cupboards. But, I do love my shed too - haven't yet taken a cup of tea down there, maybe next summer.
