wigglebeena wrote:It does seem quiet, but maybe part of that is Christmas coming up. Personally I'm quite happy to buy second-hand books for myself, but would always buy new for a present. Maybe people are saving their money for presents.
Might take off in the New Year with people spending their Xmas money!
Maybe - but I started selling in December last year and sales were really good before Christmas (all second-hand books).
I also sold quite a few in the period between Christmas and New Year - presumably people were on holiday and had time to browse on Amazon.0 -
Need a bit of advice.....Sold a video to America and received an email from them today stating that the video does not work.
Whereas I know that the video works, it is more a case of it is in PAL Format and not NTSC.
What makes it more annoying is that I clearly stated this in the description.
Any advice would be appreciated on where to go from here.0 -
Hullo, looking for a bit of assistance.
I have a PC game to sell. When I type in the code, it doesn't show up, but if I search by keywords it does. That said, I can't see any way to sell it that way... I was expecting a button that said something like 'I have a copy of this to sell'.
Any bright ideas? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Fay, do you get a little blue ready to buy box on the right-hand side of the page when you have come to the product page via the keyword search? If so there should be a 'Have one to see? Sell yours here' button at the bottom of it. Click on that and you should be away!
OK now hoping that good karma and using up my first official board whinge will improve sales!
Just having lots of my books going to closed as they haven't sold. Its really annoying that when you relist a closed item it still stays in the closed list. I'm concerned that I'll either mistakenly list something twice or fail to re-list something. I don't suppose there is a way to delete listings from the closed list is there?0 -
I get a blue 'Coming Soon' box... gah... I know it's not currently available but others have it on sale used

I'm afraid that if a buyer requests a refund for any reason (however stupid!) within 7 days of receipt of the goods then all they have to is post it back to you (at their expense) in good order and you have to refund.
There is a fuller explanation on this Amazon page from a buyers point of view and from a sellers point of view there is this too.

Hi,
Im now about half way through my 1000 books, woo hoo, and ive found one im having trouble with,
its 'tales from shakespear-lamb'
there is no printing info at all in the book and the introduction is dated 1898, looking at it it could quite easily be that old. Its in very poor condition however and someone has let there little darling scribble in it on a few pages  The binding is some kind of cloth and there is a colour picture stuck on the front.
A quick look through amazon seems to indicate it could be fairly valuable but there isnt one listed for this year
where do i look next ???
thanks guys, sorry all i seem to do is ask for help

There is one on Amazon.com I found through bookfinder.com. In my limited experience I would guess that if it was valuable it isn't now because of the condition, especially the drawing.
Good luck anyway. I'm sure others will know.
As for me things are on the move again. 2 books sold today. One of them is the Frankenstein book that was on Kat's list a couple of weeks ago (thanks Kat!). Only cheap but keeps the pennies rolling in.0 -
