selling your stuff on Amazon - part 7 - advice for newbies in the first post

I have sold my first book on Amazon, it was a Baby Whisperer book and went within 12 hours of listing, superb.:beer:
I have a couple of questions if any one can help.....
I have a book without an ISBN and cant find it on the Amazon searchs, is there anyway of listing it? Another book I have has an ISBN but isnot on the Amazon lists, is there a way of listing this one? Or do I have to sell them on ebay.

Over 60 hours and I still don't have my 511 missing items showing as live yet.

I've emailed Amazon again but I'm beginning to give up hope of ever being able to sell anything again.

I still haven't sold anything - it's been 2 weeks now!

Hi all,

I am having the same problems as soolin. I turned my holiday settings off on Wednesday night and there is still no sign of my books.

Gutted.

You might be one of the people affected by the Amazon problem. Do some random searches on the books you have listed and see if your copy shows up.

Some of the big sellers are also affected, one person had several hundred books not showing in searches.

My listings are still down, 80 hours now. The problem is I have now sold some of them on Ebay which is going to give me a problem if my books go live and I sell anything before I realise. As they are still showing as being on holiday I can't delete my sold books, this could end up a nightmare.

I just checked and I can see them OK.
Maybe I need to go through and add better descriptions.
I bought some legal textbooks in a charity shop today - maybe they'll sell!
Maybe I just need to be more patient!

Hi Tescodisco,

My sales have been horrendous over the last 3 weeks - I think Amazon have been having rather a lot of problems which they aren't being very honest over (judging by the Sellers Forum anyway).

So just be patient and I'm sure your books will start to sell soon.
