Hmm, not only are my listings still not live (and you can't believe how cross I am getting), but the search is mucked up as well.

I'm trying to buy a book and earlier today there were no copies showing as available even though there were several pages yesterday. A few minutes ago it showed them new from marketplace at £7,71, and while I dithered over whether to pay 15p more from a seller with better feedback they've all gone again

Getting really bad withdrawal symptoms now...I can't bear not having any books for sale

  • I am going to ask them to refund this months pro merchant fees as I have lost a whole weekend of sales!!!

Matt, are your listings live yet as mine still aren't? I'm at 86 hours and counting here.

    Soo

  • I've sold 2 books over the last 3 weeks and I've still got over 150 books listed.

Is anybody else having awful sales?

    Whats the problem?

    Mine are back live..hurrah!

However, I listed a Terry Pratchett book and it showed up correctly when I put in the ISBN, but halfway through the process when I double checked it showed as live the picture of the book has gone and the text now refers to a Harry Potter book, although the title and author still show Terry Pratchett!

It does seem quiet, but maybe part of that is Christmas coming up. Personally I'm quite happy to buy second-hand books for myself, but would always buy new for a present. Maybe people are saving their money for presents.

Might take off in the New Year with people spending their Xmas money!

  • Good news about the listings going live again but the searches are still erratic. I was listing a stack of books, I keyed in the ISBN of one and looking down the list of sellers I saw the name of someone I knew in person, I suggested that they started with Amazon last autumn, so she is a protege so to speak. The feedback for this person was absolutely GLOWING, more than just glowing it was transcendental, I felt very inferior with my 6 or 7 word feedback, this feedback was in essay form, I must try harder to please!!!! - I digress - so after looking at all the pages of feedback I keyed in the book again to list it and it doesn't search, I key in the title and author and it still doesn't search, it was like a phantom book that doesn't exist, I ended up going back with the back button for about 15 pages till I found it again

Anyone notice that they haven't had a special offer on pro merchant membership this year? - this time last year it was half price for 3 months

Welcome to halojones, another one sucked into the Amazon machine:rotfl: :rotfl:
